Instead of wasting your time like this, do something useful and get a job and get settled. Have some positive mental attitude.

Ankit and likes will reinvent India
by Ravindra Kumar on Sep 28, 2009 03:12 AM  | Hide replies

What Ankit is saying is that when you get hooked on to an idea albeit math-science idea, you get enough motive power to get going, money and support will follow.

It is not only IIT, but such entrepreneurs are throughout India. I have read that Some educators/civil serbants started a scool in Bihar for poor with consideration of merit, will and desire that goes along, students. It is something to emulate.

The problem is that how our politicians buy into this professionalism, and provide support mechanism that Ankit and likes flourish.

May be some leaders will notice, and be part of this India and not other malaise India.

Ideas are good but the fact of life is most of these Engineering grads (including myself) do not come from a very prosperous background--that insecurity makes one to get into the corporate layer as quickly as you are fresh off grad school-since if you age, you loose the color that a fresher can bring and learn--but its also true that you need to start early to succeed in entrepreneurship.

But then its on the individual to decide--whether he like to pursue his dream and risk being jobless later(since in the highly competitive job market just a IIT degree with many years after grad won't buy you a job--managers do like to see interest in corporate life and hence a job history).. so its the individual who decides. More incubators are necessary to make these smart kids succeed financial as well.
