Petrolium products and prices

The costly diesel is sold here with subsidy and who is using the diesel which is meant for trucks and for pumping water for agriculture etc. But one can see costly cars taking diesel from petrol pumps all over India. Whereas the fuel for two-wheelers is Petrol which is costly in India and majority of the people use a two wheeler. It is high time that rationing of diesel for purposes other than trucks and pump sets introduced.

No need for this news. When they were getting the windfall profit why they didn't reduce the price of petrol.

ALL bunks are owned by Politicians and their relatives under benami names. If they lose in market they know how to loot from gajana and give it back to their family 10 times.

oil companies loosing 170 or whatever crores perday is inevitable as India is a oil importing nation and it has to buy oil at international prices. the only solution is we should grow faster so that government can take this oil shock.

Enough is enough.. The govt charges 52% as various taxes on petrol.. The govt should direct the enormous taxes on petrol to the aid of these IOC, BPCL, HPCL.. etc The common man is least bothered about these cheap tactics 4m the companies.. If they are at a loss, the govt will help them, and they should.. Else, close them.. Reliance, Essar, Shell will serve the nation..At least they are not hypocrites like IOCL, BPCL etc..

Now Crude is trading at $70 per barrel.

6 Months back Crude was trading below $40 a barrel and these oil companies earned 1000s of Crores of profits every day. Why rediff is not talking about that profits
