Now Crude is trading at $70 per barrel.
6 Months back Crude was trading below $40 a barrel and these oil companies earned 1000s of Crores of profits every day. Why rediff is not talking about that profits

exactly correct..at that time they r not ready to reduce the price of the petrol and diesel..for the sake they have reduced 2rs and 3rs to cheat the ppl..
I dont understand... why such kind of news comes when crude goes above $70 per barrel. Why dont u people publish news at the time when crude trades arround $67-$68... and oil maketing campanies making comments that we are making XXX crores of profit every day on selling of petrol.

I agree with Puneet. All hue and cry is when price rises but when price goes down they are not bothered to lower the price. After all our great politicians get lots of share...

They are all Oportunist, sponsored articles are used to create sympathy so that politicians can fill their pockets. When will this end????
We all know that these companies are making losses... thats the reason they are called PSUs (PUBLIC SERVICE UNDERTAKING) if they make profits they shall no longer termed as PSU instead they will be called Public Loot Undertaking.
