India's IT Inc lobbyists in US now must do their job...
by SS Kumar on May 06, 2009 02:33 PM  | Hide replies

I read a news report that even if Prez Obama withdraws the tax incentive for shipping jobs overseas, the cost of executing a project in the US will be 50% more expensive than doing it in India. If true, this is the point India's IT Inc. lobbyists need to hit hard on in the US, esp. on TV, thro' newspapers, senators etc. US software companies stand to lose their global competitiveness this way.
Therefore, the US based companies also would be interested in supporting India's cause. The other approach is for India's majors to set up more offices in the US for direct participa-tion in their projects. I am sure Obama being a pragmatic man will come around finally.

Outsourcing lobbyists are mainly the shareholders of companies. They don't have either India or USA in their mind. They are as selfish as the CEOs and managers in IT companies. It is not going to affect the vast majority of Indian people anyway.

This is actual scenario which can not be stopped by any means..
It is a time of globalization and no one in this world can stop.
This globalization is driven by mainly computer which is invented by US. May at that time they have not thought what will be impact on US of this small machine (called computer) after 30-40 years..and internet means you can connect but there is no way to out from it.
It is a infinite net have only one gate to enter and not way to exit.
I think US will be no longer lead the world forward and country who will be having more smart people will lead the way to the future..
and india and china are one them not because that chinease or indians are smarter but billion of people means atleast some of them certainly be smarter....
So time has come to be more innovative and creative to progress in th

Obama's Tax Cuts
by Venkatasubramanian M on May 06, 2009 02:30 PM

Obama's tax proposals or for that matter any move reminds me of indian politics. He seems to be only doing gimmicks. I don't know whether he will be able to revive the american economy from its shambles. He is having certain preconceived notions and acts based on that. Perhaps he has a coterie like the indian prime ministers/chief ministers and giving ill advices. All the best anyway.

The truth is that Indian IT firms will Suffer
by Sandy on May 06, 2009 02:27 PM  | Hide replies

Whatever kind of brave face IT people and media will try and project the truth is that Indian firms will be hit very hard by this decision of Obamas govt. We should accept the truth and then try and find ways and strategies to cover up the loss of business rather than closing our eyes and ears and making us belive that situation is to our advantage.

One thing the world should remember is that without the indian consumers none of the US business will survive. If we Indians reciprocate by boycotting the american products then that is the end of road for US companies.

Obama continues Legacy of Bush
by Jay on May 06, 2009 02:16 PM  | Hide replies

Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. ruined the Economy of USA by their un-waranted war against Iraq & then against Taliban in Afghanistan. America still continues to donate to Pakistan in their war against Taliban.

Why did US have to create the Taliban in the 1st place?
