Chennai is the best, it has equal distribution of wealth and with IT standing 2nd after bangalore. but bangalore's only industry is IT. but in chennai its automobile, healthcare, IT etc.

Pawan, u should understand Hindi was never spoken in TN, After independence the GOI tried to enforce Hindi which was resisted back then. Now Hindi is taught in all Private schools from LKG. But majority of people in Chennai are tamils, hence useage of Hindi is minimal. There is no hatred or disrespect for Hindi, the scope for useage is limited. I cant speak in hindi to my mom and grandmom just because i learnt hindi in school. I will naturally speak in Tamil. In offices and schools English is spoken, hence English is prevalent. Now tell me where is the scope for people to speak in Hindi? So instead of blaming blindly, undertand the reasons or rational behind actions...then criticize

Isn't Delhi hot? Isn't it sultry from July to August? The problem with Chennai is that the weather is kind of monotonous. Food- When was the last time u went to Chennai? U get all food here Language- There are so many Northies here that even the auto guys have started speaking Hindi. Movies- Yes, watching Hindi movies is definitely a bit of an issue here. Not because there are no Hindi movies, but because there are very few multiplexes.

Please stop all this. Why india develop in IT sector ? Because of we adopted english which is global language. And we adapt that very well and now come on hindi.Hindi is a national langauage but still it is not spoken or even understand in south state we are human being and that we need to communicate in a lagauge so why not the south indian state adapt it.The base of almost all india langauges in sanskrit so why not.

I tell y-0u what....Chennai is slowly but surely acquiring a cosmopolitian face. The problems u have stated did exist. But the average Chennaite is slowly getting used to the northies around him.
As with regards to good looking women- u must know where to spot them. Go to malls, roam around in Chetpet/ Nungambakkam/ T-nagar market/ Sowcarpet, and u'll see some really pretty faces.

i am pretty sure u speak by heresay or common perceptions. Heat is something u cant do anything. I am sure u would not be complaining of heat in Dubai or Texas. In terms of food Chennai does have more to it than just Idli's and Dosas. Thats a common perception or stereotype forced on South Indians by people from certain other parts of India. Chennai does have quite a lot of Hindi releases apart from Tamil and English. So u r wrong in that too
BTW i am not here to claim that Chennai is THE BEST, all i am saying is, it is not as bad as many of you think

Hey Guys, i really appreciate and genuine views..i feel, Each place has their own advantages and disadvantages..and,if we will start looking at bad things then we will never look at their good propspect..
Yes, Cheanni is most educated place..you cant put your view by looking at Auto Walas or shops near to Railway station...
Hyderabad is coming up..but people are not too educated and dont have manners compare to Chennai..Chennai people has manners as well as educated... u will find very few hyd people, who wil have manners.... offcourse, no one learn in one day..all the places are good..Saftey wise, Bangalore is the best because, there is less Strike, Stone throw etc on IT companies...they treat as a business and govt earning money and People are getting benefited....less politics here..i must say..

Really, the real tamilians in Tamilnadu are very neat and well disciplined as what i observed in Coimbatore, Madurai, shivakashi, But in Bangalore,in most, almost all slums and other places are very dirty because of this tamilians come from that state. The main reason for chennai bashing existed right from independence mainly due to potrayal of madrasis by the bloody sunil dutts, kishore kumars, mehmoods and film like padosans and others where they show the madras people as madrasi with lungis and in bad shape and showing in bad taste. I ask what your advani, atal, mulayam, lalu wear in parliament???? What rural in bihar, up and kolkotta wear??? Lungis or pants and shirts. What is the filth existing and their language and accent?????

As your northies those who settled in madras or any south place for that matter sometime back. They would not want to move from their place because they know about their place of births how much filth exists in every aspect of life. They are appreciativ and have mingled very well with the locals and some even sport vibudhi. I have marathi friends who sport vibudhi.. I have seen northies thronging in delhi in 'sarvanbahavn' in connaught for the same idlis and dosas. Tourists coming down south die to eat the idlis and dosas. Try to aprreciate others. We dont expect idlis and dosas when we come to north but are happy with parathas and rotis never complain like you. Be a roman when you are in rome.

Birth place Bihar, UP, KOLKAta.etc people are getting settled in other state not just because of their birth place is not good..but because of the oppurtunity, which they can give to next generation in current state..if you will visit Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Bokaro..you wont feel like you are in Bihar...similarly...Lucknow, Allahabad in UP, Salt lake in KOlkata..there are many places in other places..i may not be aware...and yes, Every one mingle with other people , doesnt matter, u r in ur birth place or other state..we all are human..i really liked all above views..which is logically correct in own way...if i will have Paneer then only, i can say, whts taste of paneer..rite..
