Need of the hour is honest enquiry into the deal
by deepak on Jan 20, 2009 02:09 PM

What had happened is now past. But the present Government should instigate proper enquiry in specific time and bring all the facts to the public. If anyone found guilty, he should be severly punished as is being done in US irrespective of which party he belongs. It may become a precedent for the others to mend their way, if they are involving alike activities

AP CM's land scams
by biswanath roy on Jan 20, 2009 02:09 PM

If Montek Singh had doubts about the revenues figures, shown likely to be generated from land sale in the AP state's 2008-09 annual plan, then he being in such an important post of Dy Chairman Planning Commission should not have passed the plan, and reffered the same to the PM who is the Chairman Planning Commission. Leaking out convenient notes to save one's skin is not desirable but is one of the many tricks that bureaucrats in India play.Montek ddoes not appear to be that innocent as this above note makes out.

monteks' misgivings
by KESAVAN RAMACHANDRAN on Jan 20, 2009 02:08 PM

how did this note of montek get leaked out just at the most opportune moment? isnt there a larger conspiracy than what is portrayed?and look at the way the note is recorded.such rich encomiums heaped on a state governemt.have u ever come across an official note with exclamation marks(look at the portion where he talks of member abhijit sen's misgivings about agricultural output).ostensibly written with an intention to create a favorable climate for the state govt.

Nexus of netha.. babu.. sahukar.. goonda.. khakhi .. shame!
by mahanty rao on Jan 20, 2009 02:08 PM

The opportunistic Lilliput political ball games & penchant for self goals by every new entrant and old seasoned players nearer to us are sickening to watch .At far away places such as Gaza and Northern Srilanka Devastating genocides are taking place in the name of War against terror. It is really a depressing period. The 'Satyamisation' of Andhra pradesh politico-economic scenario where The greed of an over smart new generation corporate honcho in amassing massive land mass not only spells doom to him but also to the political parties which depended on paybacks from such social blood suckers who can easily subvert the entire election process by financing the expenditure of any major party ( Rs 3 crores x 294 assembly segments= Approximately 900 crores which is not equivalent but a minuscule portion of commissions transacted on the sanctioned project contracts to MAYTAS etc ).
While the living 'LEGENDS' cause shame , sickness , dismay and depression to us ...Else where a srilankan Editor and jurist inspired us even in his death with his noble convictions. Please read the final article by Mr Lasantha wickramathunga which was published only after his assassination recently by lankan mercenary state sponsored killers. Such noble personalities are the ray of hope for humanity in its endeavors towards better future with inclusive growth. We need such journos WHO ARE RARE SPECIES right now here in AP which has a biased casteist media serving the vested interests of few clans.

Maggots
by KUTTAIAH KUTTAIAH on Jan 20, 2009 02:08 PM

The maggots are slowly coming out of the cadaver. When Sridhar expressed his opinion there was silence and also threat of legal action. One wonders if this report is pre dated.

Dr Reddy is biggest culprit in the world
by raj on Jan 20, 2009 02:03 PM

Dr Reddy is biggest culprit in the world -

1. He is directly involved in probing communial clashes in Hyderabad, where hundreads of died and still fire continuing..

2. As Member of Parliament, he has done nothing to his constinuency for about 20 years. Rather he encroched land of poor people for mining purpose.

3. His father really a basta*d, he has killed thousands of poor people for sake of land encrochment.

4. He promotes non-hindus (muslim and christians) to sweep hindusim in india.

5. In his ministerial cadre, 4 Ministers scams came to the Public, but he has taken no action. This proves his inability in organizing government.

6. He is directly involved in funds transfer from Satyam deposits to his own projects - Sakshi news paper, Brahmini steels, Raghuram cements, and many more power projects.

Many more to tell, but limited space in rediff.

Please dont vote congress in AP to promote distruction of ourselves.

Best regards ever....
