Budget
by Tamal Basu on Feb 16, 2009 01:03 PM

In middle age, the proverb was 'wrinong kritya, grhitang pibet' means borrow to eat ghee. This govt. is borrowing heavily to eat today and financial and revenue deficit going through roof. The ultimate beneficiaries are govt employees with a hefty pay increase, politicians who get a percentage on all govt. expenditure and wealthy farmers who did not have to pay bank loans. For common man and private sector employees, they are loosing jobs, prices of everything going up. If the per capita income has gone up so much, why, as per recent survey, 70% Indians earn less than 2 dollars, i.e.Rs.90 a day? Let govt. increase BPL level from Rs.450 at present to at least a reasonable Rs.1500 per month to assess the actual no of people below poverty level instead of artificially keeping it at a pathetic level. If calculation of per capita income of Mukesh Ambani and 100 more people are made, every person will be a billionare. God save the country.

What is this Budget is all about. This shows how careless this cong Gvt is. They want the common man to remain common or poor and the rich would get richer and we will have scores of Ramalingam's floating around the country fooling the public as well as their monies.God bless this country. In this time of economic crisis, it would be prudent to prop up the economy than spending crores of rupees on welfare schemes. We do need welfare schemes. However, the need of the hour is measures that would make the economy stronger. Pranab has not thought on this aspect at all. Bad budget.

They do not know how to handle the country.there was a time from 1999-2004 when the price of all the commodity were almost the same, intrest rate for home loan was 7.5%.many aam aadmi made their dream come true by making their own house. The simple formula they dont know that keep margine less and sell more, profit will come automatically.instead they tried to grab the entire profit in one go.They dont believe in sone ka anda, but the whole murgi.

Real Faces of Indian Media
by Abdul Jabbaar on Feb 16, 2009 12:54 PM  | Hide replies

CNN-IBN: This is 100 percent funded by Southern Baptist Church with its branches in all over the world with HQ in US. The Church annually allocates $800 million for promotion of its channel. Its Indian head is Rajdeep Sardesai and his wife Sagarika Ghosh.

Hindu: The Chennai based newspaper 'the Hindu' is ironically a newspaper with strong anti-Hindu views. English daily, started over 125 years has been recently taken over by Joshua Society, Berne, Switzerland. N.Ram's wife is a Swiss national. It is in fact a well-known Commnunist mouthpiece. During the trouble in Orissa recently, this newspaper reported that a Christian was killed when exactly the opposite had happened. Even the CNN reported that it was a Hindu that was killed by a Christian mob.

Times group list: Times Of India, Mid-Day, Nav-Bharth Times, Stardust, Femina, Vijay Times, Vijaya Karnataka, Times now (24- hour news channel) and many more.. Times Group is owned by Bennet & Coleman. 'World Christian Council' does 80 percent of the Funding, and an Englishman and an Italian equally share balance 20 percent. The Italian Robertio Mindo is a close relative of Sonia Gandhi.

Star TV: It is run by an Australian, who is supported by St. Peters Pontifical Church Melbourne.

Hindustan Times: Owned by Birla Group, but hands have changed since Shobana Bhartiya took over. Presently it is working in Collobration with Times Group.

Media is more obsessed with Mangalore pub attacks and Valetine's day, dubbing anyone oppposed to this morbid depreciation of social values as "Saffron Taliban". They want to do more business. They are not worried about the millions of aborted female foetuses, gender violence against women and women's health and education. As I have said in one of my earlier posts, I look after the education of some poor girls in Trichy, where I live. If one individual like me can do this much, people who organise "pub-bharo" and "chaddi chalo" can do that much useful things.

Congress has shown good results over the five years and have run our economy well and put the country on world map.

Being interim budget during election year, they have shown remarkable maturity in not handing out sops and has shown prudence in money management.

While the opposition is busy with Ram temple and Valentine issue.

Congress is only fit to rule India

I wish we all could share your opinion.. however, we just do not.

Congress has ruined India and continues to do so. WHY? There is a clear need to define many points for India to grow strong. However, none have been defined as yet. Do you know who is Aam Admi? What is secularism? What is Bharat Nirman?

Gosh slogans slogans and more slogans that is what Congress is all about, Deliverance of good governance is beyond congress and its cronies. Think about Mulayam and Laloo.. what are they doing int he cabinet? They are criminals aren't they...

Congress is the worst government. It is in the hands of this Indian public to get them out of improper governance. The Rice rate has gone up to Rs. 35/- and Petrol is still very high as compared to the reduction of crude oil at global level.

It is in the hands of this public to get out of this useless and shameless Congress in the next elections.
