Domestic violence
by Vivek Chandra on Aug 26, 2009 07:42 AM  | Hide replies

Asking a woman to cook food against her will is a sort of violence. A husband can not force his wife to cook dinner while he sits comfortably and watches TV.

2 months back you ranked delhi and mumbai amongst world's costliest cities...now you say they are the cheapest. I having being lived in quite a few countries say that if not Delhi ...Mumbai definitely is one of the most expensive cities in the world in terms of living with similar facilities.

You got the point brother. All these useless surveys getting published and misleading. The recent post was a surprise to me as well. Still look at the 3 star and 5 star hotel prices, they are more expensive in Indian cities. Food prices are almost dollar convertible in good restaurants.

I've been following rediff for a long time. It's gone from bad to worse. Their articles these days are just so pathetic.
I've decided, instead of asking them not to host poor stuffs, instead I should visiting their site. If more poeple start doing that and the site traffic reduces, atleast after that these morons will start publishing something worth reading. I hate this site just trying to create regional conflicts, publish articles from other sites without even proof reading it and trying to make a living out of that. This would be my last visit to this stupid site.

how does it happen
by sagar on Aug 25, 2009 06:14 PM

u peole r just trying to divert minds,
yes if tourists from europe r coming these cities r cheaper to them.
that doesnt mean they r.
instead u should use the criteria of the percnet of per capita used to spend a day in those cities wher per capita income of respective is used.
then definately ur calculation will go wrong.

by joydip bhattacharya on Aug 25, 2009 06:06 PM  | Hide replies

as per rediff analysis an avergae people required one month salary to buy an ipod where as in swizerland they required only 1 day salary... taht means things r costly in Delhi and Mumbai..as I think this should be calculated based on people earnings and the cost of the things...

its not a joke its a serious 'vachanpurty' the aam aadmi government has legalized huts upto year 2005 all those lakhs of people are living on free land, most of them are given the free houses by builders against FSI, who cares about the original owner of land.
so obviously per head cost of home must be down in mumbai with only 25% people actually buying a house.
sadly these people doesnt come out and cast vote so their voices are unheard.
