What have they done earlier in their rule that u r still expecting anything from them. Earlier there was Vajpayee to console them now there will be dog fight in the street. The person who can praise Jinnah is exepcting to become prime minister, he will sell the country to Zardari.

Mayawati had been the most corrupt lady CM India had in the history. First she thought of state aspirations and rejected the Rail Coach Project, but again she had to review her decisions after Election commission anounced the dates for elections in major states where BSP can try its luck. This rejection would have given wrong message in industry sector which would have indirectly angered people. And after all she has to keep at least UP in hand if she has to aspire for PM. Sonia is also not different from what Maya is! She got things in dynasty! she should have at least given some big things to Raibareilly rather than words. She has govt. under her feet, she could have changed the look of Raibareilly and Amethi. Eastern UP had given some best leaders to Indian politics but no leader had been able to change the dynamics of it. Even Mayawati as CM corners it and talks of dividng the state so that she can rule the rich pie and get relieve from headaches of Eastern UP. What these political parties give is just muslim appeasement specially in towns like azamgarh to get votes and divide people.

We always have a good choice. Why dont we common ppl take careers as politician instead of business, govt. jobs or elite jobs in MNCs?

Just cite one issue or subject where Sonia can be better than Maya? Atleast Maya knows what struggle is and MOST IMPORTANTLY she is an Indian National.

man,let a qualification be decided to become a politician..let young take-over politics and let the old-horses go away...they dont want us to progress..folllow the traditions,just what they do...they should be forced to retire after 50...

well if that criteria wont work out... after seeing these financial institutions bankruptcy... i wont even prefer the so called MBA to be a politician as they will just fill there coffers and make the country suffer as they have done to these financial institution... ye waale politician hi achche hain unke uthna jhol nahi kar sakte
it is really very strange that inspite of this sultanpur / rai bareilly area being the electoral ground for the last 40 yrs for the entire indra gandhi family , it is still considered most backward . HOW and WHY ?
the amount of money which had been poured into this particular area in U P in the last 40 yrs runs into billions of rupees ,but where has it gone ? it gives a feeling that this is the conduit for making money for Gandhi family ?

Mayawati looked pitiful giving that press conference today. And she still tries to put up a brave face. Obnoxious behaviour. And she wears the Crown of the downtrodden and stamps them all over. What is she trying to do? One thing for sure, she will never make it to Delhi, EVER. This country cannot afford such a nonseense person at the helm.

You are right that country can't affort politicians of this kind, but history will tell you that it has not stopped these politicians from achieving their ambition.. blame it on gullible indian citizens who don't raise their voice against distructive, separatist, and anti-development politicians

please, please Don't give me jitters by telling that MAYAVATI has got a fair chance of becoming PRIME MINISTER of India . i know India 's generel image is NOT good, but we are NOT so bad that we elect MAYAVATI as PM of India.! then i will migrate to SOMALIA !

The problems is that almost all politicians are the same. Today, Congress is crying foul because it is happening in the constituency of Sonia Gandhi as a tribute by RM to her support him during his misrule in Bihar.
But who will forget these:
1. Fullest support to Mamta Bannerjee in Singur to get Nano project scrapped to teach lesson to CPM after they withdrew their support. 2. Getting 10000 mw Dadri power project scrapped through Singur type agitation to embarass Mulayam Govt. The project was supposed to be commissioned by 2008 to solve power problems in entire North. 3. Mass scale agitation for disinvestment of Sterlite indistries. 4. Inquiry in Centaur Hotel, Mumbai. Later the inquiry revealed that Shourie got the best possible deal.
Mayawati has corrected her mistake within days. First she was bitten by political bug and a personal enemity with Congress for which Congress is more responsible. But later she realized that after all this 1800 crore investment and jobs for thousands in his state. She had got swayed away with politics but quickly back on track ingoring all insults done by Congress President. Therefore she has once again proved that she is a very strong, progressive and investment friendly Chief Minister.
But when will Congress learn?
Congress is directly responsible stalling 10,000 MW Dadri Thermal power station in UP. What has Mulayam has to say now?
Congress vigorously fuelled Mamta Bannerjee to make sure that Nano car project is moved out of Bengal to teach a lesson to CPM Govt after they pulled out their support to UPA Govt.
Maya has corrected her mistake and turned the table on Congress. But for Congress it is too late - Dadri power project is scrapped and Nano has moved to Gujarat.
