Very well said. As for the remark on non-farming commumity taking loan as farmers, is not some cases. There is a huge scam which is to be unearthed. This is the same way wherein rich people buy some slums and then get flats alloted to them in the rehabilitation scheme.
Net result is that we honest tax payers get screwed.

THe problem is there ? Not in the farmers suffereing. Hit the correct place. If u identify the problem correctly , there is good solution.
Who says the what u pay as IT, is going to get any benefit.

Rajesh..how will u decide needy person..U can't just give away the hard earned IT money to farmers..No one is stopping the farmers to become rich..Is anyone? But yes we should do something for the poor people but not something like loan waiwer and all that..rather then getting something automatically.
After all after IT Tax payers parents and grants parents and they them selves have earned the money & richeness in the same India why can't current farmers or poor do the same..

Identify the problem correctly with its location and solve the problem there. Not somewhere else. Do not link a problem to some other problem.
Why we should pay IT is one issue? First of all why should we pay IT if there is not return back to us. We are paying all kind taxes on each and everything already?
Then Farmers have some issue? Just like u have IT issue. Dont desolve their issue by putting or balancing with ur issue.

Agreed Rajesh Kumar.
I pay taxes regularly. I am not against someone needy getting benefit. What I am pained to see is the pathetic situation of the country in terms of - infrastructure, water, electricity, sanitation, primary healthcare, childcare, education, schools etc.,
Instead of improving all these, what purpose it serves writing off 60,000 crores (Let me put it in actual numbers: 60,00,00,00,00,000 - someone correct me if I am wrong) in one shot???
That money could have been better allocated and utilized for the above mentioned purposes....
I don't think I am the only one feeling this way! I am sure a lot of like-minded concerned citizens of this country feel the same way too!

You are correct, we pay taxes and dont get anyting. Not even insurance. The amount u spend on tax, if u pay to insurer u will be insured for billions. Govt pays nothing but goes to moon.
I am surprised to read some of comments below where we think that by loan waiver goverment is doing something great or we are paying something to really to farmers.
Dear sir, if u all have bankrupt head, no one will survive one day.
Dont be jelous about what farmers are getting and why they should get.
Concentrate on what u should get.
Finally these govnts are not going to give us anything.
They want to waiste all the money on going to moon, spending on many useless sectors which has no benefit for our people. etc.
Go to the roots of the problems.
DONT BE JEALOUS, GVNT will waste the money on something else if its not given to its people.

why dont the congress offices in the village and cities start distributing loans like grameen bank of bangadesh
this way the the farmer and others dont have to go to the money lenders and end up dead
rahul are u listening
if u take up this as non profit corporation we will be able to get rid poverty faster
also it is not restricted to the congress other parties too can mobilise their workers and see the revolution

well, congress has been doing it for the past several decades, right from the word go. their strategy was divide and rule, inherited from the brits. they have successfully cornered muslims and christians into one corner, and they need a few swing votes from hindus - that is the so called sc/ st - all with political - open schemes/ bribes. they have a longer history. besides, 50 years of rule - they couldnt remove poverty, cos they always want the message aam admi to remain intact and hoodwink them for all eternity.
rather teaching lessons of Swablamban this half foreigner playing the same card as they have well realised to rule india better u need to offer short term benefits to poors as they have no grain in stomach and when there is no grain in stomach how the brain will work. Still villages need better infrastructure. Its tough to rule India. Lets see next election

thats utter BS. in one stroke yu have made the legitimate paying farmers look like fools. credit worthiness is entirely looks like a stupid concept. yu know that every election year there will be a waiver, so hang on till then. btw yu dont have any facts on yur side. 85% of the farmers have borrowed from money lenders - that 60k crores will go straight into the party funds, funds which havent yet been allocated inside the budget!
if someone doesnt agree, he's anti indian , eh ? lmfao....what a stupid way to argue.

doing something for the poor ? why wait until election year, and allow so many thousnds of farmers die each year ?
also, why not solve the 30,000 crore PDS wheat scam ?
