Small Cities don't have amny rich people.
They don't have much trade and commerce with not many big companies opening factories in their areas !!!!
They rely on big cities for purchase of goods and services , resutling in increased overheads !!
Its Pure Economics !!!

My dear friend, Hyderabad has the cream of rich people, specially from Coastal Andhra, apart from Marwaris, Gujaratis and Sindhis who have so much wealth to launder.

Better transportation and communication Technology
by Darvin Chaudhary on Sep 17, 2007 10:00 AM

Friends,

As per my thinking this is due to better transportation and communication channels between 2nd tier and Metro cities. Previously, farmer have only one option to sail his commodities to nearest city in whatever proce, because they did not have knowledge about big markets and did not have cheaper transportation. Now everything is available and farmer want to sail his goods in best price. This is not a bad sign for Indian economy. It will take some time to mantain equilibrium and improve farmer's condition, who sail his commodities in pathatic price in past(i.e. Previously, farmer sold patatos in 8 Rs/ 5Kg in small markets, but now he is aware where he get best price for his commoditiies)

Inflation

Economists, Governmnet, Media - I feel they all take the common man for a ride in their own way.
When in 2004 onion prices hit Rs 14 a kg the media made such a big noise that the government almost fell. This time round, in the undercover of government decalration that inflation is at 4.54% the prices are for example of onion at Rs 20 a kg and potato @ Rs 10-18 a kg. I am not sure if all of them are hand in hand. There is very little pressure on either the government or the governors. Corruption is, as usual rampant and we seem to be going down the drain for the future in the name of growing.I am sorry this sounds harsh but it seems to be true also.

The inflation is above 15%. The govt figure of 4-5% is just rubbish. The prices of cars and airconditioners in the index has no meaning for indian average person.
Congress is corrupt and it brings inflation in connivance with con-businessman to fill their pockets.
Through CONGRESS

We have an immature media which spews out utter rubbish, look at the kind of filth which Times of India keeps churning out. There is not a single, serious, intelligent debate or well analyzed article to mould public opinion. Also, most papers are against anything even remotely indian or Hindu. Hence, no pressure on this UPA govt even though we have seen the highest inflation in these 3 years. Pulses are at Rs 40 per kg, milk above rs 20 a litre, how many poor people can afford even an ordinary meal ?
