by your logic china should have THREE TIMES the billionaires of India, and it is world's 2nd largest economy.

And european union THE LARGEST ECONOMY AHEAD OF usa SHOUDL HAVE LIKE 1000 BILLIONAIRES. IDIOTS MAKE MY BLOOD BOIL.

TRASHPIT INDIA'S PER CAPITAL INCOME IS BELOW POOREST OF POOR EVEN BELOW COUNTRIES LIKE CHILE, MALAYSIA, THAINLAND ETC

ULTIMATELY IT IS PER CAPITA INCOME THAT MATTERS FOR CITIZENS NOT HOW MANY BILLIONAIRES WHICH ONLY MEANS WEALTH CONCENTRATED IN FEW HANDS BY CORRUPT MONOPOLISTIC PRACTICES.

wealth is not evenly distributed because every body did not took the financial risk evenly. many are at more financial risk than others. risk rewards .

It is a matter of pride that we can produce such wealthy persons - shows what we are capable of, after all we were a third world country / under British rule about 60 years ago
However, we also have 1000s of farmers killing themselves and 80% of persons earn less than 2 dollars a day. We can consider ourselves having progressed only when everyone has enough to eat, regardless of how many are superrich.

it is absolutely true that wealth or resources are not evenly distributed in india and i will give credit for this to lack of education, widely spread corruption, ineffective bureaucracy and system, politics of opportunity, corrupt leaders...
here even division of wealth doesn't mean equal money but it means the average standard of living should be high than what it is now. The distribution of population income should be as much close to the mean per capita income which ensures that resources are more evenly distributed among the population...
The spread of living standard of the Indian population from the mean should be much compact than what it right now...

To, increase the output of employees;it is not the late-sitting in offfice for hours, but do the work , sincerely, honestly, with accuracy, and complete the work within office hours. Which will give you more time for rest, and remaining more time in family, which wil also reduce the stress of work.

Pinhead Ambanis, learn from Tata to contribute directly to society
by on Nov 17, 2007 09:54 PM  | Hide replies

Ambanis are founding and spreading companies/branches for their own benefits. Tatas, on the other hand, have been doing humanitarian works for a long time along with their business.
Examples: Tata Institute of Fundamental Research- one of the most respected research facilities in mathematical and physical sciences.

Have a look:
"The Tata family gives away eight to 14 per cent of the net profits from its company each year to science, medicine, social services, performing arts and education. Funding from them has also established pioneering institutions in social sciences as well as cancer research and treatment."

(i found a nice website for free guide, Tips & Trics for earning more money from Share Market. Just visit : 'share market plus . com' This is totally free and can help u lot.)

ROHAN, check your general knowledge, TATA is gujju too. its gujjus whose business sense has bough so much wealth. Mumbai stock exchange is owned by gujjus, Gandhi and Sardar were gujjus. have you ever give 10 Rs donation to someone in need? watch your mouth before criticizing others.

amabanis weatlth is theirs there is no obligation for them to share it with everybody else. How much money or effort you have contributed so far for humanitarian efforts. How can you be sure ambanis' dont? Did you read their financial statements!.

I am a total free market supporter, but I disagree about Ambanis. They made money due to license raj. Rajiv Gandhi denied license to competition and gave Ambanis the licenses. So they are a product of the license raj and not merit.

Economic growth in India
by Sudip Jha on Nov 17, 2007 11:18 AM

The all time high sensex, rising of concrete jungles, malls all give an impression that India is running very fast on the path of economic growth. And this is not a false impression. But story has other side also. The distribution of funds is not even. The gap is increasing very rapidly and this is bad for country as a whole.Increasing uneployment, militancy, naxal problems are on high. And such big can be the impact we just can not imagin. And this can bring such a revolution that entire fabric of nation can collapse.Economic growth unless the legitimate needs of common people is not met is injurious/poisonus for the country. It is high time we address our social problems. Those who have more in their hands should come forward to address these problems.Govnt alone is not capable of doing all the things particularly when entire political system has gone corrupt.Billionaires and millionires have resource and they should contribute their part of social responsibility not by givin donations but by being an integral part of social pillers to eradicate these issues.Else system shall collapse and so shall they.
