Yaa its true...

He ranks 3rd richest indian in india. According to Cnn-Ibn he replaces Azim Premzi place.

Hasan Ali is the main person which we all(from most of the countries) used to send money through hawala...

But seems his business is hidden secret & never open for Income Tax Pay so he is in problem & he kept all of us in problem as we are unable to send money through hawala because of his business secrete blown up in india.

Now the hawala agents refusing to take money to transfer india.

tata group is huge but the fact is that a large part of the groups stock is with the public, the tata share i think is less than 20 perc, hence even though the company is big the owners are small

Tatas ar famous for their philanthrophy.
In last yr's forbes List Ratan Tata was NOT EVEN AMONG TOP 40 richest list of Indians!!!!!
Whereas Tatas are the biggest business group in the country ahead of Relance(source Economic Times).Such is the level of their philanthrophy

That is because majority of shares (67%)of Tata Sons the holding company of Tata group are owned by charitable trust. Some 18% are owned by Pallonji Mistri whos on the Forbes List. The rest are owned by other Tata Companies. So Ratan Tata, himself, does not own even 1% of shares of Tata Sons.

I fedup in reading a lot of messages by saying mittal is not indian???? what the hell is it ??

I came overseas last 6 years i am staying here and in future also i am going work here., means you all says me bye bye or getout from india ???

I think your guys not read proper info abt mittal so i have to post here::

Lakshmi Nivas Mittal born June 15, 1950 is a London-based Indian billionaire industrialist, born in Sadulpur Village, in Churu district of Rajasthan, India, and residing in Kensington, London. He is the 5th richest person in the world and the richest Indian ever.

Early History
-------------
He spent his first years in Sadulpur, living with his extended family on bare concrete floors and rope beds in a house built by his grandfather. His family, from the Marwari Aggarwal caste, was from humble roots; his grandfather worked for the Tarachand Ghanshyamdas Poddar firm, one of the leading Marwari industrial firms of pre-independence India. They eventually moved to Kolkata where his father, Mohan, became a partner in a steel company and made a fortune. Lakshmi was a keen student and graduated at the top of his class in high school (Hindi medium). He graduated from St. Xavier's College, Calcutta (gaining admission after much persistence, as the college wouldn't admit him at first since he had graduated from a Hindi medium school) with a commerce degree in 1969. His classmates knew him as a sharp student who was good with numbers. Here again, he graduated at the top of his class.

In 1994, due to differences with his father and brothers, he branched out on his own, taking over the international operations of the Mittal steel business, which was already owned by the family. The family or Lakshmi never spoke to the public about the reasons for the split.

Charity
-------
After seeing India get just one bronze medal in the 2000 Olympics, and a silver medal at the 2004 Olympics, he decided to set up Mittal Champions Trust with U$9 million to support 10 Indian athletes with world beating potential. Recently he donate money for welfare projects at rajasthan.

Please any justfiy what makes him a inida, Just a Passpoer and small donotion of Fund.

Media should take a true india who stuggled in India to bulid his own empire. Why didint the people and Media talk and Lakshmi mittal before, Why didint they talk about willams before.

A true india rather inida is different from these people.

They cannopt be called beacuse they where born in india or hols a passport

Charity & Mittal... no way...
Call me a cynic if you wish but...
Did you know that his contribution for the kargil war victims was a mere Rs 11 lakhs where as he spent 10000 times more than that sum on his son's wedding.
As far as Mittal Trust is concerned it is nothing but PR management, since he is venturing into Indian market.

This story highlights the fact how rich people exploit poor people and become rich. China's growthrate is more than of India's. Still they have limited no.of rich people. Because they believe in equal wealth for all, which surely not present in india. In India ambani's become rich by exploiting poor people, Have they done any charitable work like constructed hospital or schools for poor. They started Dhirubhai Ambani School where all students are from rich famalies paying heavy fees. If they will look at charity then their wealth will come down surely. But they are concerned about their personal milestone. Who cares for poor people..

By the way how much have you spent on charity??India is a land of oppurtunities and the meritorius are rewarded (Tatas,Birlas,Ambanis,Mittal-airtel,Aziz Premji,Narayanamurthy to name a few). They have comeup sheerly on determination, hardwork and ingenuity ,not by exploiting anyone (as you suggest).Firstly dont be jealous at others.Secondly look at yourself before you utter some inainities.

comeonnn why u feel bad about something been said to ambani's? may be you are working with reliance or do not care about poor? From where u discovered that i have not done charity. I am spending money in charity according my wealth. Not like ambani's who earn billions and even a single rupee is not spent on charity. I am against that.. Ok?

Ambani brothers Mukesh( $ 19.1 billion) & Anil ($ 18.4 billion)are listed 14th and 17th.Their combined wealth around $37.5 billon. But as they have split up they dont figure in top 10.I wud rate Dhirubhai Ambani ahead of L N mittal. After all Dhirubhai build his empire in India fighting licence Raj & also Bombay club thugs( Read Tata,Wadia,Goneka and so on...).In next 5 years Mukesh will surely list among top 3 and his bro Anil too will follow suit.Watch out Reliance Mega plans of being top 10 companies in world. In next 10 years it might even upsurge EXXON mobil.

Lakshmi Mittal choosing his workplace has to do with destiny. It was his father who started the business. When time came for dividing the business between his sons. L N Mittal got the business abroad. So it was natural he started growing his business outside. He considers himself a Indian has started engineering college in rajasthan. Besides tying up with petrol major like ongc etc to help them acquire oilfields outside. I comsider him a indian.
His brother still run the indian business under brand name Ispat

All other topers except Mr. Lakshmi Mittal are residing in their own country. The reason of Mr. Mittal choosing Foreign country is not clear and we Indians are more happy, if he stay in India.

Hi All,

see Laskhmi Mitall is great person , Struggled and Achieved His dreams.I Agree

My Pain is that why people in india are so exicted to say that he is a india. Why not a "true" india who has been a grown along with India.

Media are so excited to call him Indian, Where where they before. How many people knew sunitha willams before. What difference did it make to the people of india when she claimed that she is a Indian.

Some how i am not able accept lakshmi mittal to be a india only becuase he has indian passport or was in born India.

Some body convienvce me.

I do not consider Mr. Mittal to be an Indian. He has spent his good number of years outside India. He has earned almost all his money outside India. He is spending / investing almost all his money outside india. He cannot be called an Indian, Just because he is holding an Indian Passport. Just because of Mr. Mittal's indian origin, let us all have a great pride in his accomplishments.
