Now a days News are no longer a news,It is a mixture of news and entertainment.Govt should control and regulate the obscene, sexy, nudity, criminal and violence, supertitious, ect. etc. which play an important role or impression on the mind of the younger generation. We should not show the pictures of legal prostitution and depict the scenes. Some moral bindings should be there so that we can boast of our cultural heritage.Govt, people, advertising agencies, viewers, should think over the matter.
It is funny and no wonder why india is decades lagging in technology and advancement in many areas as they waste time in policing tv and cinemas is entirely a cultural entertainment which is entirely an imagination or like a dream , it is just like censoring your dream or fantasy, as long as fanatics are there these nonsense things will dominate our freedom of viewership of tv, we donot need some idiot to tell us what to see and whatnot, concentrate on other burning issues, government should not poke in all these, and waste workforce they can add them in security as security of girlchild and women are a threat in this greatnation.
no there is no good news channel to view. every 2 minutes there is break for ads.are this channels ads channels or news channel.if its a small news these channels air it a "breaking news" and also compete with each other we are the first to air this news to u.in my opinion these news channels fight themselves to gain supermency.
one of the biggest offenders is aaj tak. they have sensetionalized and added the element of cheapness to news items with a plan. i am surprised no reader here mentions them.
It may be well said that , it is intresting to watch these channels once in a while , but there is a class of the society who watch this news and maybe even enjoy it. It could be called tabloid style , but in this ever competitive media segment , a channel has to survive or perish

News is no longer news. Have we confused the word "entertainment" with "media".I think they are not only two different terminologies but also a part of two different cycles in the broadcasting industry.
The change in the societal preferences are being tapped to satiate personal interests of the owners of these news channels.
If we want a newer India emerging we must develop progressive viewership through channels that delineate themselves from sex and sleaze.Spend more time on matters that can reshape the country's outlook.Dont carry out this farcical campaign of civilized prostitution to gain a market share.
