Lets us focus on product focus on product based IT in this decade?
by Kulveer on Sep 12, 2006 11:56 AM

Dear Friends
i have seen in the last two decades that we have exceled in the software development and worked for others benefit but have we thought about the product based industry in india itself which is must to sustain in the coming decades because as other countries are coming up in this field we have to search for new oppurtunities we have to learn and explore new horizons . The hardware industry is lacking in india , i guess there is not a single good company who is on worldclass standard in manufacturing . These are a serious issues as pointed out by Mr Bill Gates that we are not focussing on manufacturing industry . Software of any kind is one time work you have and its over but the desire to buy new products will be forever so we should focus on this.

How to Convice IITians are the BEST
by Gautami on Jan 20, 2006 08:07 PM

Hi Friends,
I'm B.E. grad from University College of Engineering, Osmania University and now working in a MNC as Software Engineer. Some of my friends here argue that IITians are not great i.e. they are up above normal people in a field and are not exceptionally talented. I had a 3 hr argument/discussion and still they are not convinced( they feel Bell labs CTO etc are not great). They say there are many other people who are successul. My point of argument is that the majority of successful people in many fields who have taken India on Mark are IITians.
Can anyone of you please suggest a more convincing discussion to convince my friends? Please tell them why IITians are great?????

Regards,
Gautami

IITians must take part in social transformations beyond technology.
by Subhash Chandra on Oct 08, 2004 03:37 PM

As the world experiences mega changes and mega developments in every sphere of human enterprise, there is a big need and responsibility on certain leading groups to contribute creatively in managing these transformations towards healthy democratic developments. If we cannot drive technology for healthier democratic development so that the benifits of these technologies are experienced globally.

The message is for IITians and for all other leading groups involved at the leading side of emerging technologies.

It is a big task, but a little thought will make a big difference in this electronic age.

Dear Sir

IIT,ians are doing wonderfully well in USA where there is right atmosphere and shall be leading professional in the cutting edge of world technology. It is indeed unfortunate that India has failed to tap the talent of IITs due to filthy atmoshere in this country which breeds corruption, politics and all that is eating away the vitals of the society for which not only the politicians but many of the unscrupolous industrialist are resposible. These fellows shall never let this country be free. This battle with the corruption is bigger problem than the freedom from colonial rule in 1947.I exhort to all right minded people in India and abroad to work and pray for cleansing the country which can come from the powerful Indians who have to fight be ready to shed sweat, and face tears to eradicate the monster. This is the only way India can become strong and earn the rightful place in the world. Please pray to Lord to give strength to each of us to face the internal enemy
which is not due to religion(Hindu or Muslim) but the
poverty handed down to us by the past and present rulers of India after independence.Economic independence can come after that in true sense.

with best regards

S N Biswas
