there are many who lose jobs due to take over etc. they dont keep crying or try to create pressure.Try to find a diffrent job, it is difficult but patience is the key.
Everyone working in private faces risk. Jet employees should have read who moved my cheese by spencer jhonson.

I find it surprising that Ruchika finds it difficult to accept a pay of Rs 2 lacs( instead of Rs3 lacs she was receiving ) in an alternate job---why should it be a problem in such a job---Firms do go through a financial crisis ; simply to say that a reduction in salary not acceptable is pathetic-----why is she complaining then.

It appears Jet did not have a solid long term plan - just like Kingfisher airlines .... understanding the market and providing the right services should be the key ... not just taking taxpayers money and flaunting it ... this is not just a loss for the employees - also for the taxpayers and so many who depend on air travel ...

They are shooting in the dark. if it clicks then they get to continue with high earnings - nothing to lose - that is why they are putting in the efforts ... sky rocketing salaries need proper justification .. there is none for this airline ...

Cut Pay to GovtMaadharChodhs (GMCs), Divert Money for Development
by NEO HITLER on Apr 30, 2019 06:20 PM  | Hide replies

Cut Pay to GovtMaadharChodhs (GMCs), Divert Money for Development

Nowadays many GovtMaadharChodhs (aka GMCs or 80% Gov employees) get pensions over 30K / pm, a gov peon or junior asst gets salary Rs 35K / pm, gov teacher 50k, lecturer Rs 1.5 lak, professor Rs 2 lak, etc.

I appreciate Modi's initiatives in collecting taxes--GST, Income Tax, etc--from hardworking people and businesses in the pvt sector, but what is the use if this money is paid as exorbitant salaries to 3% GMCs, of whom 80% are good-for-nothing fellows?

In pvt companies, only top 3% could be corrupt, but 97% employees have to work hard. In govt companies 80% are corrupt and / or laggard fellows.

GMC laggards, who eat up 10% GDP / yr, seldom work, but work very hard when there is scope for corruption. GMCs spend 80% time eating paan & spitting on walls, talking SexPoliticsAndNonsense, playing cards 2 hrs when lunch time is 1 hr, etc

GMCs have strong unions and often threaten nationwide strike if their exorbitant demands are not met.

Pay good salaries only to defense personnel (on active assignments); reduce salaries of GMCs to market-avg levels--stop salary revisions. Divert money thus saved to improve primary education, English skills, healthcare and family planning among poor, SC, ST, MBCs, etc and to support poor farmers driven to suicide. HIGH SALARIES TO GMCs KILLS PATRIOTIC SPIRIT OF NON-GOVT HARDWORKING CITIZENS.

(Instead of Rs 1Lac /PM to a GMC, better pay 10k-to-10 pvt sctr hard-workers)

Yes, I agree with this view. If a mazor portion of the tax collected goes to salaries and pensions of government employees, what about infest development ? Where millions can get work. I know babus who draw pension in lakhs, and paying income tax ! Is it necessary ? It need to be stopped forthwith.

Jet Crisis
by Suresh Rai on Apr 30, 2019 06:19 PM

Since this crisis I have been crying on top of the Voice that the White collared employees are finished. There is no law to protect their interest nor they have a descent saving to cover up the Present situation. This is the fate of lakhs of the white collared employees in various industry and they are facing this silently. Such class of employees are taxed like any other but used and thrown away. Such class of employees are always lectured for "World Class" Output and then neglected. I see Suicidal tendencies coming in with such employees although I would strongly advice against it.

To jet employees, When in crisis, sab mill jhulke raho yaar ! Dukh aur sukh batna jaroori hai !

I am not an employee of Jet Airways nor an employee of any airline

retrenchment
by ramana add on Apr 30, 2019 06:13 PM

I think airline industry has so much glamour and every politician/industrialist/rich person using the airline industry. thats why so much hue and cry about these highly paid staff. inother industries such as, IT, banking, BFSI etc., retrenchment is common and part of the life
