'I Drink And Smoke. Does That Make Me A Bad Mum?'

No. It Makes You An Incomplete_Mum.

Start Chewing_Paan And Make It A Habit To Keep Your Mouth Busy With Tobacco(Preferably 'Haathi_Chhaap', Chuna_Lagake) Every Half An Hour.

This Will Make You A Complete.

Looks like you know the exact formula for "becoming complete". I am sure you have practiced what you are preaching.

Personal Choices
by Sanjay Vatts on Oct 30, 2018 12:27 PM  | Hide replies

I have read the article and comments given be few people. I believe as far as drinking and smoking is concerned...they are her personal habits and no one has the right to judge anyone due to personal habits. She is an educated professional girl and knows all the pros/cons. I have seen some comments about her clothing's too...which is totally unfair. We need to focus on our own lives rather than interfering in anyone's life.

Since when have we become so liberal that we insist on people not judging scantily clothed women but cringe at the idea of some one wearing a saffron outfit ?

Nor do saffron wearing people lynch people - only people wearing skull caps kill/commit genocide

I think you are reading the wrong newspapers and watching the wrong news on TV. I suggest you stop watching cartoons and start seeing real life as it unfolds in India

So you are saying all people wearing saffron outfits lynch people? And somehow this is 'liberal' thinking?
So, by the same token, all people with beards and skull caps must be terr0rist$.
All film industry folks must be having loose morals.
And by extension all smokers and drinkers must be bad parents.
Bigotry in our country runs two ways.

smoking and drinking bad irrespective of gender etc.

But, more importantly they also have a cost on society.

Drunk people frequently don't realize the impact they have on their children, because they don't remember what they said to them after a couple of pegs. The children grow up with suppressed anger which they further propagate among the society. Many of the abusive husbands are kids of drunkards. Smokers almost always cause passive smoking to their near and dear ones.

Additionally, these people end up with diseases like cancer which is a heavy cost to the society since the government and children have to spend a lot of resources and money on this kind of self-inflicted illness. (If there were less unhealthy people in a country, then people who fall sick due to bad luck can be provided better treatment facilities.)

So, no smoking and drinking are not like the choice of eating roti vs eating rice. They have a cost to people and to society, and the society has a right to condemn these bad habits.

Smoking slowly kills you and alcohol drinks you.
pl. stay away from these vices irrespective of gender and marital status.
One can add gambling too in this list.
these vices lead to path of complete destruction.

Working mulpliple jobs is not an excuse for smoking and drinking
by auryas on Oct 30, 2018 11:17 AM  | Hide replies

Working multiple jobs and working hard is not an excuse for smoking, drinking and them asking people 'as I a bad mum'.

When your kids watch their friends mastu^^ate in secret at school watching your pics on their smart phones, then you ask your kids 'am I a good mom'. they will tell you what you are.
