What is the purpose for Rediff to post such article??? I don't know her personally so can't comment whether she is a good person or not. But drinking and smoking is certainly bad for pregnant or nursing women. She can choose to drink and smoke but then should should not babies. So kindly don't glorify it.
My neighbour, a mother of 2, sleeps around with others husbands. Her kids are happy looking, growing, glowing and as ignorant as their dad! However she has never knocked my door with that request. That certainly makes her a bad neighbour. But does that make her a bad mom?

So the moral is it is gender neutral. Hence, don't boast about it. Admit it as a mistake, misdeed; not an achievement or adventure. Feel that you are trapped in it and try to come out of it.
Imitating men is always good. Only strong and confident woman do it. But while doing so imitate RIGHT men; not men with addictions.
