Congratulations on your success and achievement.Institutions are only a small part which makes one successful. Its the student self who can make himself/herself successful by mere sincere hard work and commitment.BITS Pilani is also a reputed institution.Good luck and all the best. Many students like you having high marks are deprived of entry to these institutions either because of Govt.policies or because of the financial condition of family.

Govt to Blame
by Manian on Jun 18, 2017 09:19 AM

Instead of focusing on reservation in admission, job and promotion the government should take care of studies of the children of poor irrespective of the cast or creed and fund all the education including IIT coaching etc ad this alone will help the next generation of this family to be part of the main stream. They need your freebies and to garner votes please do not spoil the poor with your freebies but provide them education and employment and they will not need your support after one generation.

IIT for you

You fool. I do not know who guides you or misguides you. You are wasting your talent. First, there would be large no. Of scholarships available, bank loans are available for talent like you at your doorstep. Certainly, no body can help you if you decide like this. There will be thousands to make sure you are not required to spend a rupee. Did you not spend anything studying upto XII.?Certainly a misguided GUDRI KA LAL.

IIT or IAS!

Fuming does not help; plan within your resources. Very good plan to do civil engineering from BITTS, Pilani and then IAS. Wish you the best, Mr. Dhavendra.

Whether it is Congress or BJP, ability of govt to uplift the meritorious keeps going down everyday. More so with NDA 2 rule which is marked by celebration after celebration for non stop poll wins.

Sheer grit and merit

Hats off, to the boy.while many well-off SC/st, jats, patidars, marathas, etc shout for more and more reservation, this boy worked hard and scored 96% in 12th. Appreciate his hard work against heavy odds.
He is ready to let go his genuine chance to get into IIT.others with half/lower marks block a seat.

His father is not a govt officer, paying IT, living in a spacious qrs, with servants around, all due to constant misuse of the reservn system.

The govt must step in to get this boy complete his education.
