Hats off, to the boy.while many well-off SC/st, jats, patidars,marathas, etc shout for more and more reservation, this boy worked hard and scored 96% in 12th. Appreciate his hard work against heavy odds. He is ready to let go his genuine chance to get into IIT.others with half/lower marks block a seat.
His father is not a govt officer, paying IT, living in a spacious qrs,with servants around, all due to constant misuse of the reservn system.
The govt must step in to get this boy complete his education. 17/6/17

I am very happy people are their to help.as i have seen even so called forward caste like brahmins, some ( middle class are real poor group) does not have slippers also.somebody do something fast.

His father should do some side business like vegetable vending etc. to earn extra income rather than waiting for somebody to help and blame the govt.

the kid was helped by his jobless uncle too..How heart rending ! I wonder why such people, like the uncle, aren't hired as teachers. We don't need babus and intellectuals, just the right kind who can inspire the students. I'm happy the student doesn't find IIT worthwhile - that's the first and most valuable lesson learnt.
If only someone could get the uncle's contact and publish the next edition of this article, I would try and hire him. Just the right kind of an attitude - not just focused and selfless, but smart and spirited too.

Sir, there are jobless IIT'ians too !!!! It's not just about a job, its about being in job that fetches you more. Both his mother and father have a Job, they are farmers, but the problem is they do not earn enough to make ends meet.
Pls get contact details and Bank details i will fully sponsor his studies and hostel etc etc. No strings attached. Even there is no need of the student knowing the sponsoror I am proud of such a student good luck, BOY
