ATM services must be taken out of all banks and must be entrusted to a single agency, who would be responsible for running and maintenance of all ATMs (including keeping money, etc. in the ATMs) in the country, including security. The agency may charge from concerned banks for utilizing ATM services. This way better services may be made available to people of the country.

All ATM should be taken out of service. Let us have same old system of going to bank for deposit and withdrawal. a facility given by bank should not be taken as right.
I have to spend only 15 min.s to deposit my old currency notes and withdraw through cheque at the branch of the same bank ( in which I have an account) although my account is in some other state and I am working in other state( which is the remotest place in India), please be reasonable and don't try to pileup new currency notes in your house again.............

yes brother rahul gandhi does't know this.
If you have ATM cards and live in the same city or other city having branch of the bank (in which you have account)then please deposit the old note and withdraw 24000.00 through cheque, what is the need of wasting time in front of ATMs for merely 2000.00 rupees
It is a shame on the children of that lady. A letter authorizing son/daughter to draw or deposit the money in bank suffice the purpose. I am a 71 year old person, and I have authorized my neighbor to draw and deposit money in the bank just with an authorization letter, and bank have not refused. No bank will reject this request. Even if her children are not nearby, a neighbor could have willingly done it.

Right. many have done such help but had to stand in queue for that again and again. Now with ink system, you cannot get that help as well.
I read once very encouraging nice message on whatups from one of senior citizen, "If I can stand in long queue not only once but many times just for 1 minute Darshan at Tirupati Balaji Temple and hope everything will be good after this even there is no guaranteen then why can't I stand now in long queue for something that have hope of better things for my nation INDIA."
AT SEVENTY WHEN I SEE OLD PEOPLE TRYING TO CROSS ROADS I GIVE MY HAND ALL THE TIME .DO NOT SAY INDIANS ARE SUCH FOOLS THEY HAVE NOT HELPED UNLESS IT WAS REJECTED
I donot understand the troubles faced by all the above persons I am a senior Citizen (67 Y) could exchange my money to the tune of 4000/ deposited 10000/ and drawn 10000/ through cheque I never come across any problem I might have spent around 45 minutes for all these operations .Now I am left with enough to manage . I am surprised how these people suffering when every thing going smoothly. Bank staff every where are behaving very good . People wanted to prove that Mr. Modi is doing is wrong which is not true some days we have to suffer for our countries betterment. A son cannot help his 90 years old mother with cash what he is having for some days, you can judge his mental stature.

You are absolutely right Sir. People are unnecessarily making hue and cry. When Modi's 95years Mother can go to bank and withdraw money with relatives, with auto and without security or Government help, why not people themselves go to bank? Substantial amount of purchases can be done by credit cards and cheques. Even local baniya, dudhwalas, maid servants etc. accept cheques. Almost all have bank accounts(Janadhan accouts), Government given enough publicity to open account. Those who had opened the account is more of their lithargy. For common man Rs4500 cash is sufficient for month if he regularly uses cards and cheques. If required he can now withdraw higher amounts also.As such there should not be real worry. The main problem which all of us are facing for withdrawal of cash is black money walas are making their person to stand again and again and unnecessarily creating crowd for others. If you see lines and discuss unofficially, I came across many who were giving expert advice based on their experience, which confirms that they have previously exchanged money. Infact the real culprit for crowd is such frequent (repeater) withdrawers who are paid for such withdrwals. If Government implements the ink on fingers, the crowd will be reduced substantially and will ease situation. The problem faced by all of us because of such professional money exchangers.
Hey Hey Hey what fun. Does not your Mother have a bank Account. All people in lines are just currency changers. Pls deposit the money in your bank Accounts and have a withdrwal of Rs. 10,000/- instead of just Rs. 4,000/- exchange.Use Your brains dont just post for posting and give rediff a chance to show that people are really suffering and things are really really bad.
