I do not understand why people voted Haapus as tastiest mango. While happus has some unique qualities of its own which are unmatched but certainly not the tastiest, good for aamrus though. Banganpalli is by far most tastiest mango if rippened naturally. The smell of ripe banganpalli is so intoxicating that you cannot hold yourself the temptation even for a second to eat it.Even an unriped fully grown banganpalli tastes great with a slight application of salt and pepper. Above all it is much cheaper than overhyped hapoos.

Ratnagiri haapus makes good aamrus and infact that was tastiest aamrus I ever had but I am sure you have never tasted or even smelled a naturally ripened banganpalli because if you did you will declare that if mango is the king of fruits then banganpalli is the king among the mangoes.

Banganpalli is definitely a tasty one. But Himsagar is the best. Banganpalli does not come near to it so far as taste/ sweetness is concern. But the size, shape and colour of the Banganpalli are much superior
There is Ishad mango from Ankola, karwar which taste good as well and also the size is huge. But unfortunately it has a short shelf life and hence the mango could not be exported and hence its unknown.

Maancurad is the best... these people don't know.... good. ami enjoy koruya.... :)
While HIMSAGAR is the best, young generation possibly has not tasted the 'pyarafuli' variety of W.B. It is yellow in colour, medium in size and slightly longish, has an excellent flavour. This variety is not generally found now in market.
