In my entire Railway travel experience, I have never found the Food served in Railways worthy of eating. We always carry our own food however inconvenient it is.
Why can't railways allow multinational food chains like Pizza Hut, McDonalds and KFC? to offer services at Railway stations?
Why are we forced to eat what Railways want us to eat? be it Railway catering or contractors.
Person responsible for quality generally takes bribe and over look the standreds just as COAL SCAM files are lost. They are anti-national & corrupt persons. If railway staff will do the assigned job then quality will certainlly improve.

One has been travellingin Frontier Mail from Ludhiana to Mumbai in 70s and lately in Shatabdi between Ludhiana and Delhi. Quality of meals,less tae and snacks,in Frontier Mail was much better in present day Shatabdi.
This rediff is anti MODI, it is comparing railways of 90's & now, I personally belive our railways food or service never had been good by any means & not even now. But it will improve definitely. Rediff also has its office in New York i thing this types of anti national reports are been encourage from there.
As an Insider the only Problem is I foresee is Privatization . More you privatize Railways more it will degrade . Don't believe me ???experience it for 5 more years to believe .Its not only about delivery .Railways has to run trains, either it can stop serving food or else outsource .Outsourcing to private agencies means they collude and say everything is fine and show goes on as usual.Our business houses are not ethical and till the time government interferes they make fool of people.Why buy this food ..say no to it and quality will improve.
