Widows also martyred
by Rabindra on Aug 31, 2015 01:20 PM

It is not only in south but most parts of India that widows of martyred soldier,Sailor and Airmen are the neglected lot and are remembered only when they have to represent their martyred husband. Suhashini\'s effort while reading this article suddenly I felt I was unable to read further and I found that my eyes were full of tears that made my vision blurred. I am an ex-serviceman myself and I though try to understand the maladies of life of a wife of Martyred ones I have never felt emotionally attached to the workd that she is doing. Oh, what a remark, which says children when they grow up almost make their mother mum saying Oh! you have no idea. To this Sahashini\'s comment is life time experience. So much can be done by an Individual is unimaginable. To congratulate or appreciate what Suhashini is doing I feel my inability to do that. May God bless you Sahashini, An example of living through the work.

A nice and productive way of life.......
by RG Iyer on Aug 26, 2015 10:52 AM

The above article really moved to tears and realities....
First this noble and wise lady asking all young women and smart girls to have any hobby as passion with love, dedication and a kind of bridge in case of sudden unexpected contingencies................
Now, imagine so many top lady/spouse/women holding high position. Do they really care or bother for young widow with one or two small children......they least care and just do not bother and never ever give a thought...
It may be asking for too, much. One pplan-ork-workabkle prposal is to haves imiliar orga nisation in State capital of all over thr=irty states in India....exclusively for armed, para military and other forces...personnel. They can formulate policy, enoll peopl free of cost or nominal fee.....and start some fine art, photogrpahy, Self help group etc...
They can regularly reach their counterparts in other states.....
This si the best way for women sustainability, empowerment, self pride and diannity.
Good Luck madam...Squadron Leader G Ramani Iyer - Retd

I coped with the Tragedy by Subhashini
by Josna on Aug 25, 2015 07:10 PM

This story is the hope for the FRATERNITY ...it is this inspiration that would help the future generations of sons & daughters of this soil to "choose" to serve the Motherland and selflessly make the supreme sacrifice of their lives..I salute the spirit of us fauji wives...we may not wear the medals, we may not go tho borders but we still can make a difference in the same AWWA meets and Ladies Club gatherings..this is the true purpose..of fauji wives hats off to you Subhashini

WAR MARTYRS
by on Aug 25, 2015 02:28 PM

it is sad that even in MARTYRDOM REGIONAL POLITICS PLAYS HAVOC. India remembers only KASHMIR HEROES OR WAR AGAINST PAKISTAN but not so many persons laid their life against insurgency in NORTH EAST/MAOISTS and in TAMILNADU PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR LIFE OR MUTILATED IN IPKF OPERATIONS HAVE BEEN BRANDED AS TAMIL TRAITORS and the political spectrum of NEW ELHI haplessly watch this drama.
