First of all thanks to Rediff for bringing up this story for all of us to be informed of what an army widow goes through.
Most of us civilians do not even give a second thought about the army wives and what they go through when calamity strikes.
What Subhashini has tried to do is out of the ordinary, in the face of such personal tragedy. Col Vasanth was only 40, when he became a martyr and had he lived longer just imagine the heights he would have scaled and the life of his family. God and Fate dealt a cruel hand to Subhashini but what a determined lady she is to have risen from the tragedy.
She needs all kinds of support from all of us. Whether monetary, emotional or physical.
Rediff please get the details of how citizens can contribute to the trust, as many other readers are also asking about it.
Secondly do not take off this story in a hurry. Let everyone read and be informed of the army wives sacrifices.
Also put up the video of the dance performance of Subhashini, for more to get motivated.
If this story doesn\'t move you to tears, WHAT WILL???
And what is the Government, Defence minister and the Prime Minister Modi ji doing on the implementation of the One Rank One Pay. Hope by reading this they will expedite. It is the least they can do to alleviate the burden of ex-servicemen and their families.

What an extraordinary venture from an extra ordinary women. Hats off to her. She deserves full support & encouragement from all .
Mrs.Subhashini, widow, has been able to cope with the loss of her husband. She is able to lead a successful life and she is able to help other widows of army men. My hearty congratulations to her continuing great service.
I am not sure if she got the land that was promised to her by the government and for which she was fighting a lonely batttle but kudos to her that inspite of all ths, she has kept her head high...and others' too!! All the best Shubha!

First of all I bow whole heartedly for the brave martyres of this lovely country and with special mention to the bereaved family particulalry the better half of the martyred. They really live a life of a saint although they r not of the age for such sufferings without any bright future. To live a life without the partner with all the dreams in the eyes make them sometimes silent, scared and clueless to do anything for normal life like other citizens do.It is very tough almost impossible for the male spouse of army personnel but female pouses are god gifted to bear such lifetime shock with courage and humbleness.i.e why female members are given the strength by the almighty and that\'s where true mother comes into picture.it is very difficult to feel each bit of it as the shoe bite is felt by the person who suffers.Once again hope such mothers like suhasiniji is a torch bearer .We wholeheartedly salute and feel she has bypassed many extraordinaery people in this race of courage, motivation and ultimately living life like a legend.
