many famous people have done all kind of odd jobs, during their struggle period, its no big deal, a sweeper becomes CA, a driver becomes doctor, pappu pager becomes engineer..its all depends on how you perform at the top, and irani till now isn't so impressive!

Actually kamat sahib appreciates only one "respectable" trade that his party also endorses. And they had been practising that trade quite effectively in the ten years that they occupied the haloed percents of the temple of democracy. Anyone who does not belong to that trade obviously cannot find favour with members of that party
Job mentioned is correct for her qualification. I realy don't know how modi selected her as education minister? what is qualification criteria considered.

Is she the lone woman in India presently with enormous influence, who has worked in a restaurant, eatery, diner [whatever it may be]? I thought there was some one else too!

Hmmm.....normally "one does not bite the hand that feeds him". If he does that, what will happen to his share in the dole ?
I am a senior citizen, an Engineer, with 50 years of experience in Industry in India and abroad. I love to cook. I will gladly work in a Restaurant, learn cooking and open an eatery. That is my dream.
