She is smar and intelligent women. Just compare Karnataka CM Siddaramiah with her. Our CM is a law graduate, but can't speak a good english and can't speak Hindi at all! She has come through hard way and hence she can understand the poor's plights better than ouer fat gus fit for nothing.
Not only Gurudas Kamat but all educated Indian feel insult on becoming the Education Minister of just illiterate woman. What she has done for earning is not a question. In BJP any suitable qualified candidate not available to appoint as education minister.

So, in congress any suitable candidate not available to appoint as president other than an uneducated bar maid?
Nobody had any problem while congress was ruling, why this sudden problem now?

Sonia Gandhi is not an education minister of our country. Nobody is questioning what Irani or Gandhi did in their past. The issue here is why BJP could not find a well educated candidate like Parrikar, Prabhu or Harshwardhan for this crucial and critical role?
What Smruti Irani did to earn her living is not a question. There are many such people in India who did more worse things for survival than that and became icons ( Narendra Modi is classic example, he was a tea seller, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam used to sell newspaper and sometimes used to sleep on railway platforms etc.). The question here is, is she capable enough for the post of education minister? How can a person who even not 12th pass can be a education minister and trying to control probably the greatest organisations in the world like IIT\'s and IIM\'s? What Gurudas Kamat said was in bad taste and it should be condemned but Smruti irani as Education Minister is an insult to the post of Education Minister.
