We are successful democracy due to his constitution.
by ravi lokhanderavi on Apr 19, 2015 03:05 PM

India emerged as the largest successful democracy in the world just because of the constitution written by him which is based on equality and humanity. Or else we could be in the line of Pakistan. As long as we as Indian will stick to this basic of secular democratic republic we will be best and biggest democracy in the world. Salute to great person of the century.

A great personality and a great historical figure. He struggled a lot to get educated. He did the right thing to uplift the backward community but lacked foresight because the constitution which he developed with his able team is being misused by present day politicians. The reservation system which was devised by Dr. Ambedkar was only for 10 years but the mean and greedy politicians have extended the reservation system and keep extending it. This reservation system is ruining many lifes. I am also from backward class but sought reservations even in adverse situations because I believe in merit. I am the eldest son of my father and he had a capacity to afford one of his son for higher education. He did not seek any reservation and I got admission into engineering through merit and my younger brothers sacrificed their studies for me. By Gods grace everybody is in good positions now.
I hope the backward class people stop begging for reservations and take example of Dr. Ambedkar to work hard, learn to sacrifice and get education and later jobs on merit.
Just imagine a non-meritious student gets admission to MBBS on the basis of reservation, will he or she will be good doctor for the society.
Please abolish reservation and help the economically weak and meritious students attain higher education.

It is immaterial for those who take care of themselves. He is important for those millions who can not protect their rights even they want because of poverty lack of education, lack of governmental support.

It is very wrong to believe that ending reservations would be ethically or pragmatically a good thing for India.

As long as there are reservations, the issue of untouchability and other caste related discrimination, accumulated effects of ancient times and continuing at present, will remain undeniable. The moment reservations are ended, the issue itself will become easily deniable and thereafter will be permanently denied without being solved.

Indian society never believed in solving social problems, but only in solving the problem of having the problem, for which the standard Indian solution is to deny the problem. Indian culture unlike Western cultures has never developed skills of personal communication essential for finding solutions of social problems. Indians are the least communicative people in the world. It is lack of skill rather than motivation. Indians are disabled from working with coordination, usually working at cross purposes.

What is happening is that India is like the Titanic after it hit the iceberg. Many are aware that there is a big problem, but none can find anything useful to do about it. For that reason nothing useful is actually being done, with or without reservations. However let the people not forget that there is an unsolved problem, that it is a very big one, and that if left unsolved it has the potential to destroy the sinking ship called India.

Reservation is meant for containing the competition and not compromising on quality. When there is a minimum marks to qualify for MBBS which is not compromised then it should be fine.

Let us not pick-up the exception cases for making stories and arguments, reservation in India is based on social backwardness and not based on economic backwardness. Mixing-up these two will lead to confusion, if everybody is so worried about educating the poor and feel the need for Reservation for uplifting economical Backwardness in India, in addition to uplifting the social Backwardness then,

Reservation ceilings can be made like this,
Social Backwardness - 50% (Existing ceiling defined by Supreme Court)
Economic Backwardness - 20%

But I am sure that no one will accept this, people are greedy and selfish

In my professional life,I know Doctors /Engineers/CAs/ICWAs/Lawyers etc,who come from so called\"backward community\"but have been extremely good professionally and are successful.None of them came to the forefront thru \"reservation\" or quota. All boils down to the individual merit of the candidate.I think this subset is a debatable point and each view has its own merits.Thx

This small article is not sufficient to depict the great son of India. He had done so much to India and the Indian People , irrespective of the castes that every single Indian should be proud of him and revere him.
People used to say that Babasaheb had provided reservation to the so called lower castes .But what about the reservation that the so called Upper castes were having since last more than 2000 years of India. These so called Upper castes were having all kinds of opportunities by their birth. But the so called lower castes were denied their rights to excel ; they were always asked to do inferior work; were asked to eat dead animals.
And now in the current situation the situation is not that much far good from the past . today 80-90% slum dwellers are from the SC/ST,they are still doing inferior work and paid less. And the caste system is still strong which does not allow these lower castes (So called) to mingle in their upper caste socitey(so called).
Now in this situation does not it is important to uplift these people(so called lower caste) by reservation in the jobs, education etc.? It is essential to do so.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar has provided the reservation in order to provide the social justice and equality in the Indian society.
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar is truly the Greatest Indian !

Provide equal level field to all deprived and needy, but somehow caste factor has become major concern for vote bank politics, Will Modi ban all creamy layer i.e. those who are paying Income Tax to bar for any benefit, this will be given only to needy and deprived so as to speed up the social cause.

Dear All,
We clean our houses safai karamcharais clean our streets and roads but who is keeping the environment around their houses and streetsclean it is the duty of corporators/MLA/MP'S and all those netas who aspire to become leaders MP/MLA LAD funds to be used for same and not for concretisation of green gardens in their areas and energies of workers of the parties to be channelized to clean the streets of safai karamchari's and other areas where no one goes to clean the street then only mission SWATCHHH BHARAT can be achieved.
