Hats off shibani...
It takes sheer will and determination to do what you have done.
Keep doing it and inspire people.
If people run for atleast 10% of what yo have run then they would be fit and do better for the society.
Physical activity is a must for a better society. And yo are torchbearer...

That's a myth. An old wives tale with no scientific basis. The ones who do get knee issues might have anyway been prone to arthritis.

Keep it up Shibani. India needs more like you. Unlike some trolls here, who hide under anonymity, criticise the doers and themselves do nothing. All the Best for your next venture. And congratulations to rediff for publishing such an article on athletes ignored by the print media.

Lot of preconceived notions here. 1) Anonymous person who expresses a different opinion is a troll. 2) Anonymous person does nothing (for all you know he might be an anonymous member of the Mangalyaan team). Get the point?

Inspired

Inspired reading the article. Lot of us takeup some physical activity but drop it after few days coz we do not sustain the inspiration what made us start the activity. Even if we continue it, we don't stretch our limits coz we can't do positive self-talk. How to do it, is shown by Shibani.

It looks like you have a heart and mind in the right place. You drop the "inspiration" because you realize that it is self centered, useless and non-productive

some will do (stretch their limits) and move on..
some will be inspired to rise above their mundane/miserable life to do something on their own..
some will die cribbing..

You are getting it now. When you lead a self centered purposeless community less existence you will rise above it to do "something" (your word) like running 70 km.

unfortunately you are not getting it. spirited action (even if it is aimless, self-centered whatever) can inspire more than the most noblest crib.

What purposeful existence have you had? Just posting useless messages and spreading negativity.
