This has become the habit of rediff to come up with these articles...earlier it was come up with a photo of a celebrity and saying how would they have been if they were normal indian and showing them as stout person...try to grow up and if you dont have stuff to fill up columns just fill it with ads if you get any....dont ridicule fellow indians and it irritates most of your readers and i hope many will agree with me on this
couple of ässumptions are true about trains in india.. for example tea khakra, mango boxes etc. I think auther should read first what he is writing. which airport allows this? we might find someone frighten of flying in Domestic (1st time fliers) surely not in internationals... converting currency will not happen by indians if dollar rate is equal to RS...
Yes, we would like to clean with water instead of tissue paper. So we ask in any hotels where we stay to provide a mug! unless the hotel provides a gun to clean.which is a rare case. This is important when an Indian travels abroad.

You are right Akash.I feel ashamed of this author as he feels ashamed of being Indian.This author should note that We Indians are proud being Indian!!!
Who carries mangoes with them when they travel?? Someone please tell author that most of the countries won't even allow a box of mangoes to be entered inside their country.

Only couple of them I found correct. Like we always carry a pressure cooker, we convert bills into rupees and everyone one of us who has travelled abroad has atleast got a warning for jaywalking not actually arrested. I am not sure which country arrests people for jaywalking!! That would be bizarre
If it is meant to be a Satire - It is too poor. If it is Humour - Too Cheap The Authors sense of Observation is too weak. Seems like a Housewife - who has never been out of her home - Is fantasizing about the outer world - with her own half baked knowledge of the world!

5. Smile cautiously at other Indians at airport but act tough when you see the same person after landing. (because you never know the other person might need "help" }

8. Wear heavy leather jackets (bought at Dharavi wholesale leather market,) in the sweltering Mumbai heat while at airport to total amusement of the ground staff.
