It is not about having a good or a bad name. We do have pet names, family names, used by friends..etc. So by what a good name means the name which is official.

every language has it's way of thinking.hence think in that language and write. many persons think in hindi language then convert it in english hence the meaning goes in wrong direction.

I guess someone instructed the author of this article not to use the phrases mentioned above. The author has assumed that rest of the world also uses those phrases.

The Indian Railway announcements at railway stations are: "Train no. XYZ is arriving on Platform no. ABC." The train arrives AT and not ON the platform.

HiFi refers to High Fidelity sound which is used in Acoustics, but its definitely the most abused word which people generally use to imply something "up market" or "high-society".

Why follow only Queen's English. What's wrong with American English. Come to think of it, nothing wrong in following words commonly used in Indian English. Words like curry, guru etc are now in the Oxford dictionary.
