So finally she found it at the age of 58 (if it's her real age) and dares to admit it as well. I am sure all working women and moms in particular, know or knew that far earlier in their life when they start their career about the direction they're heading towards.
So are working women escapists...trying to run away from reality?
Secondly, talking about daughters from a working mom's perspective, can she be honest enough to also comment on her relationship with her husband? I think it's all about career, money and a hollow & lonely life that poor working women live and constantly struggle against itself...not about relationships really.
That's pretty obvious. That's precisely the reason why w0men should stay at home and take care of kids while men get out and do all the hard work. Now, enlightened readers and intellects on this message board will jump on me, saying I'm recommending oppression of w0men and what not :-)
If we consider a married couple to be a small company with two partners, it is best to assign and share responsibilities between two partners, for the company to survive, enjoy and fulfil it's life, which is increasingly becoming more competetive and faster with passage of time. The best division of labour would be that man should go for earning livelyhood and make provision for his family and woman should raise and nourish the family to fecilitate to bring out their best. This is age old arrangement, that evolved naturally through out human history right from their hunter gatherer days. Both functions are equaly important.The soceity should send right message so that no exploitation of one partner by other take place. However if some women have different inclination to make a career in their chosen field or to utilise thier talent to make a different contribution to the soceity,they should be welcome to do so. but I would suggest them to avoid to go for family as it will be difficult for them in their later life.
one , be it man or woman, can't have everything... man and woman have different mind set though many men's mind set of women's mind set and vice versa too...
Women "activists" shout on TV about rights of women and obligations of men in married life and even in so called live in situations. But they don't utter a single word on the duties of women and their responsibilities. ... A woman is a daughter, daughter-in-law, wife, mother, mother-in-law bla bla bla.. Is a man not a son, a son-in-law, a husband, a father, father-in-law etc.?
Why take everything to extremes? Looks like humans are born to pursue careers only!
Useless statement from a hypocrite; Why consider such nuisance comments of any importance just because someone earning in dollars is a failure in her domestic responsibility and think her comments are gospel-truths but rubbish for anyone sensible;
Hundreds of Indian women are there who are great in both fronts and they dont need to sell unhealthy coloured water to fool around for earning in dollars; Just let the dollar be eaqual to rupee and all these individuals will be counted among laughing stock;
his kind of statement from CEO of one of the largest corporate is completely unwarranted & hypocrisy.she should have confronted with this much before her deemed departure from top job & taking into account the views of her daughter.Can we assume that her daughter would accept her as complete mother minus the wealth that has been collected by working at the top of pyramid?
