Pondichery is once famous for nearby tamilnadu for week end visits to enjoy liquor since it is cheaper- as part of union teritory. Now that charm has gone. Sea foods are cheaper and made tasty.
I had gone there in 80s. In Pondicherry the roads start with the name "Zue".One main road is called Zue de Gingy. The yoghurt in aurobindo ashram was very tasty.Now the east coast highway connects Chennai to Pondicherry. There is a also a famous medical college called "JIPMER" situated in Peelamedu. Some ex-jipmerites (Raghutoman opey)has written a book on jipmer & Pondicherry. It can be accessed on jipmer alumni page. Also there are photographs of town in 80s,jipmer & Peelamedu.
It is unexplored place in tamilnadu. Generally Tamils are broadmentallity people,rather, mother tongue telugu people like naidus, and reddiars, these two castes,whose mother tongue is telugu, they are called as tamils, in tamilnadu,these naidus are covered under the umbrella of dravidian people, because they are slight black tint non veg rough face,hence they call as tamils, whereas in Andhra, no mother tongue caste like mudaliar,thever, iyer, they are not called as tamils, their in A.P, It is on mother tongue, but foolish TN It is called black tinted dravidian face, secondly these naidus settled in one century above from andhra settled in TN,They are rich, in TN, Take coimbatore naidus all are textile pwners, tamils are labour people, these spinning sector has become kamma naidus business, all spinning mills are owned by naidus in tamilnadu.during dravidian party started these naidus gave money to dravidian party people for divide and rule between brahamin and non brahamins, not tamil, telugus,so that they can survive well in TN.VERY INTELLIGENT PEOPLE TELUGUS, They have occupied in america fully, miss america is naidus girl from A.P.DUE TO THEIR POPULATION MORENOBODY CANDO, Even Jayalalitha govt cornors more telugu people then tamils,in last 5 yrs telugu population from Andhra incresed thrice in chennai, now tamils are minority in chennai, no political party is fighting against telugu domination,it will be another telangana fight in chennai future, tamils not getting jobs

request TN Govt to give priority for jobs to mother tongue tamil people from tamilnadu, not from andhra telugus and make reservation for local tamil mother tongue people of tamilnadu, youths. since reservation is sweet subject for tamils, by telling and doing reservation only, they came to power.pl look after tamil mother tongue youths of TN in chennai jobs esp IT.

And those sh^^t loads of middle class people leave behind sh^^t loads of litter and garbage all across the places and render them big eyesores rather than charming tourist spots.
And all you can see and hear where these sh^^t loads of middle class Indian commoners gather is loud talking, littering, taking photographs of themselves at various spots, eating, drinking, jumping queues, babies and children wailing and screaming, their mothers yelling, aping westerners in clothing, not aping westerners in civility and civic sense, not aping westerners in admiring and studying the tourist spots and their features.................!
