RAPE COMMENTS OF MR. MULAYAM SINGH LEADER SP
by om sharma on Apr 11, 2014 01:26 PM  | Hide replies

Mr Mulayam Singh is candid in expressing his genuine concerns on the New Rape Law which was framed under pressure of street frenzy and without considering the repercussions through intellectual dialogue or debates. The result is that the law is being misused and innocents are being framed. With the help of this draconian law scores are being settled by those who have muscle or money power. It is an open secret. While no one supports a rapist but to brand some one on the mere statement of an individual and putting him in dock (jail) even without affording an opportunity of listening to his side of defence is completely draconian.

We need to make a committee of eminent people from different walks of life and request them to pick up 100 cases of rapes/molestation registered after the new rape law came into force, examine the truth and come out with their findings.

What is wrong if some people object to the kind of litigation wherein the accused is declared a convict before trial. We are human beings and must be patient to other views.

O P SHARMA
EX Sr. Govt. of India officer

The question is, once a person is proved to be a rapist, would you consider him as a criminal or a person who has simply made a mistake? No one wants to punish a person who is falsely implicated.I think, you could not understand the gravity of the statement made by Mulayam.

Iam really surprised on how you became an officer..read his statement carefully and see what it translates to.. when he says "Ladkon se galti ho jaati hai"..it effectively translates to..boys make such mistakes.. do you even understand the traumatic experience of a rape? Mulayams statement effectively means he is endorsing such horrible acts and that it is fine and the law will go easy on such rowdy uncouth elements..rapists should be given death sentence like the Shakti Mills rape case or the Nirbhaya rape case without pardon..also such cases should be fast tracked by special courts so that these rabid dogs who cannot keep their snake in their pants are punished immediately..do not call yourself a government officer if you are one.. from your statement it sounds like you were working for this insane fellow..

To be an officer one has to compete in an examination wherein lacs appears and few hundred reach. Application of mind is an absolute mandatory ingredient for unbiased opinion. The moment one expect yes yes or endorsement of his views his /her grooming is similar to a spoilt child who expect anything and everything that he can touch. Please ponder for a second and answer - should you be booked for rape or molestation just on the basis of a statement of a girl. Should the statement be not verified. My point is limited to this extent.
