Do you think smoking within limits is harmless? Tell us!
by Hebbar R on Jun 04, 2013 01:50 PM

How can this be true when reports suggest that even passive smoking is dangerous? This argument at best is an excuse to continue smoking.

Smoking is harmful
by neema ahuja on Jun 03, 2013 11:45 PM  | Hide replies

Believe it or not, smoking is always harmful. You smoke less or you smoke more doesn't matter at all. And you should have control on yourself. You shouldn't be influenced by advertisements or pictures on TV that encourage you to smoke. Even passive smoking creates trouble for non-smokers. Ultimately smoking and drinking leads to cancer, heart attack, and finally death. So one should never smoke at all in life. If a person consumes a cigarette, he should note that even a single cigarette destroys 5 minutes of his lifespan. Smoking should be banned for the well-being of nation as it's nothing but severe addiction.

They dun have the basic manners to avoid sitting in public space . If they wanna smoke and die . let them do it. but why to trouble others

33% discount should be given to women for buying cigarettes.
by samudra blr on Jun 03, 2013 08:45 PM

Women are still a minority. They have to be given 33% reservation to encourage them and become bold.

What about air pollution?
by Ajay Kumar on Jun 01, 2013 10:45 AM  | Hide replies

Yes, smoking is harmful but what about the damage done by air pollution!

Everybody gets on their high horse to condemn smoking but nobody really addresses the harm done by air pollution!

How would it help to be a teetotaler and then die from the harmful chemicals in the air we breath from car exhausts, factories and other sources of air pollution?!

There is no such thing as moderate smoking.......
by Suresh Krishnan on Jun 01, 2013 12:11 AM

There is no safe limit for smoking. Smoking even a single cigarette a day is harmful. I used to smoke about 10 a day, stopped since almost 5 years and difference is huge....

I am a smoker and smoke around 10 sticks a day. I think its a harmful habit and must be stopped completely. There is nothing as - "regulated puffing". Smoking even once a day is harmful, rather smoking once a day is more harmful than smoking at regular intervals. Smoking once a day reduces immunity more than regular smoking. hence, stop it once for all.
