This is getting a bit overboard. Yes there is a certain failure in the law and order in certain states. But there is no point going in giving such statements just for argument sake. Until there is strickter deterrent law enforcement in place, civil society must react to this with more maturity.
This was and still is a dangerous world. Nature has empowered men the physical strength to face the dangers and women psychological strength to keep the family going.
If women wants 'freedom' and 'liberty' they shall have to fight for it, not beg for it. It ain't a safe world for men either - check the stats, more men get killed than no of women raped!!

In my office a women learn a man how to operate the old sigfa in india. Now india is improve and man has changed their thinking but sometime he deny it that not want to learn
"Why can't men stay indoors after 8 pm to stop rape?" - this is the most pathetic comment ever.It seems the author is over smart.Such kind of women should be barred from writing articles.these r the kind of women who say 'if a guy can walk topless in a public so can a women..usmay kya hai?" .It is definatley wrong to make a "law" about restricting woman to come out of houses after 8pm, but it is all about a strict law and discipline on the road which will inculcate fear in such 'satans' who are willing to perform such a gruesome act.

You are missing the point. The author was pulling a fast one in asking men to stay indoors after 8 PM just to emphasize that it is necessary for women to work late nights given her job demands.
Women should stand in their own legs if they chose to do so. We should not force them to be dependent on men. If women have to progress in their career they need to work late nights. Safety should be the last thing on her mind, if she has any chance of progressing in her professional life.

Because some police officer in Canada blamed "scantily dressed" women by that word. This was a protest term by women's groups
Would you then have 100% female police 100% female vendors / bus/ truck / train drivers 100% doctors hospital/ fire staff to be women 100% army / airforce people to be women
I agree with the idea that any men who have history of committing crime, could be tagged and forced to stay indoors after 8 By the way...... Did you know that more than 90% rapes are committed indoors by relatives or people known to the victim how will keeping men indoors solve that issue ?

If a man stay in house after 8pm what the problem of a man what they have done after 8pm. Only the working man can stay in night like police, power supplier, railway employee and they all have their own job they concentrate on their own work not concentrate the other option.what the problem of a man if they stay in house after 8pm

It is a Rhetorical Comeback Q to Sheila Dixit's advise that no women to come outside after 8.

I was only doing an analysis for subject of this article.
Women are always respected as mother, sister and considered as LAXMI as wife, but those who are under the influence of west are to be culturally understand the countrys requirement. We are noticing many women fighting now a days in public places like goondas, not offering seat to needy child carrying women and oldis in buses/trains. Are we calling it women Lib. If so, such liberty is not required. They should also show their exemplary behaviour.
