DU is pathetic
by mukul bhatnagar on Jun 24, 2013 12:05 AM

There are very few colleges in DU at undergrad level where good science education is imparted. Otherthan that MSc physics is a pathetic course. Do no pursue it if you wanna be a physicist. Go for IIT's or any other where they don't force you to mug up things.

MCC rocks

MCC Chennai has to be in top 4, like it has been in the last 20 years. It certainly cannot be below Ramjhas, Miranda house, Hindu etc. I have studied both in Chennai and Delhi, and know what i am talking!

Number one

The number one spot had to go to a Delhi college since India Today is a Delhi based publication!

So what happens to the graduates of this number one science college?

Do they stay in Delhi and make it big or do they migrate South to technology havens like Bangalore to make it big?

The answers to the above questions clearly expose the bias in this list!

Way to go, Delhi!

It is proven again that you can't do anything without cheating!

This list is a joke!

When anything or anybody from Delhi tops anything, it is a joke!

Christian Colleges Setting Examples
by Bigtribe on Jun 19, 2013 12:19 PM

1. Majority of the top 10 colleges are happen to have been run by the Christians or Christian groups.

2. How come just 2.3% of Christians and their colleges making such impact and setting examples of excellence?

2. What's there in their lives and leadership that they are able to achieve this and not others?

See the kind of examples

It is quite ironical and sad to see that names of aluminis are celebs - movie actors and politicians who are least bothered or attributed to the academics.
Greatness of an institute - say for a science institute is based on how much it has contributed to the world of science, not to movies or politics

If it was also emphasized what way these institutes have contributed to India and world. How many scientists and researchers are there in these institutes.
Only institute that comes to my mind otherwise is Indian Institute of Science which no place in this survey
