Medical entrance tests
by asli mumbaikar on Jul 21, 2013 01:33 PM

There shd be one test All-India.Why separate tests??? costs, patterns, regionalism, etc would flourish and cause students to struggle or be under stress. The test shd be supervised by an independent body. After all we have one test for engg,IAS, etc.

NEET-A FARCE EXAM

NEET UG EXAM......VIOLATION OF FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS.RIGHT TO EDUCATION
My daughter was one of the student who appeared in the first batch of NEET 2013 exam. Today even after getting qualified & 10,000 rank in All India state quota rank and 6000 rank in category quota in NEET-UG 2013 out of 6.5 lakhs students appeared. she is not getting admission in the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat and Delhi due to discriminatory education policy of the Govt.
Her name was in the Maharastra Merit list but when she went for counselling at pune domicile certificate was wanted from her. Similarly GUJCET results were asked from her for Gujarat medical entrance admission.
As neither she is a domicile of Maharashtra nor she passed class 12th exam from any state board or nor she is from a particular state e.g Delhi or Gujarat. Then why this preference was given to choose 3 states.
The private colleges are asking between 40-70 lakhs for admission in MBBS. Are Indians so rich?? Are we living in such a rich country? what is our govt education policy ?
Therefore friends please suggest us what should we do as she wants to become a doctor and serve the country. Her dream to become a doctor will die like this??.There are hundreds of such students like her.will education minister of India wake up for these hundreds of helpless students??
Will education ministry take a bold decision like petroleum ministry that petrol/diesel prices are hiked from midnight and every state has to follow it !

Why the private colleges charged Rs.40 lakhs / 70 lakhs from the MBBS students? What is the policy of Govt. of India and what they are doing in this critical matter. Why the Govt not taking a clearcut decision to stop the taking above huge amount of money from the students? Why the Supreme Court of India, Prime Minister and Education Minister of India were silent about the above matter? Please do something about the same.

What is interesting here to note that fees in govt medical collages is Rs 6000 to 40,000 per annum where as in pvt collages it is between 2.5 lakhs to 8 lakhs per annum.Forget about donation/capitation fees separately charged.

Corruption in Entrance Test
by dipankar basu on Jul 18, 2013 03:48 PM

MCI is well known by its corruption in medical field in the past. Similar is the case with CBSE. At least some private institue are conducting tests in absolute transparency & admit students purely on the basis of merit of such test. AIPMT, AIIMS all entrance test has appeared in the news for corrupt practices and no transparency in their system. Therefore SC verdict is in right direction.
