Corruption in Entrance Test
by dipankar basu on Jul 18, 2013 03:48 PM

MCI is well known by its corruption in medical field in the past. Similar is the case with CBSE. At least some private institue are conducting tests in absolute transparency & admit students purely on the basis of merit of such test. AIPMT, AIIMS all entrance test has appeared in the news for corrupt practices and no transparency in their system. Therefore SC verdict is in right direction.

ha ha ha the biggest joke of the year is that pvt medical colleges are coducting medical entrance in transparent way!!! after taking hefty black money to the tune of 20 -40 lacs they are asking bribers to leave answer sheet empty. or attemting not more than 05 questions ans later on filling them and thus completing the most heinous crime. The Supreme court verdict shall further bolster and encourage filthy activity of pvt medical colleges.

How many seats are given on basis of merit by Private Universities? It appears that while many of them do give a good portion of their seats on merit, in engineering, the same cannot be said about Medicine

right decision
by ajay prasad on Jul 18, 2013 03:03 PM

I think SC has given right decision , if you really want to conduct common entrance test, first conduct common board exam then only you can conduct common entrance, why there is board for every state to conduct 10th and 12th exam?

This will loss for student
by Indian on Jul 18, 2013 02:06 PM

their should be common entrance exam this will reduce student fatiague and unnecessary stress to them and their parents.
Now last year each medical college conducted individual exam for their respective colleges, student has to run exam after exam to apply other college.
what logic SC had given may be best know to them.
they might go for some changes in existing pattern but deciding this illegal , I think it will be great lost for student, end up profiting private colleges, they give very low score and then demand huge amount of capital fees, deserving student get lost in race.
some of recent SC judgment are debatable, even yesterday judgement about Bar dance hotel are also questionable.

Common Entrance Tests for Medical Courses
by gopalakrishnan caruthedath on Jul 18, 2013 02:04 PM  | Hide replies

Looking into the declining standards of medical professionals in the country, a Common Entrance Test for admission to various medical courses where merit becomes a criteria for selection is the need of the hour. However, the SC has decided otherwise.

Common medical test
by Suram Verma on Jul 18, 2013 01:56 PM

SC verdict on common medical test (NEET) is another big joke on the on-going experimentation in the education sector by the government and its planners along with judiciary. It is a great loss to students of last two years going through NEET and it is similar to other tests including JEE main and JEE advance also. Why school merit is not considered as a sole criteria after making the system more accountable and transparent from corruption and nepotism. This type of experimentation is always playing a havoc with the lives and careers of innocent students every time. Education system has taken its worst form along with the professional courses and their entry. Students after a hard pressure going through are again deprived from job in their life.
