Easy to blame youngsters, but it is the previous generations that have caused the mess in our education system. If the entire nation is in a mess, then the fault lies with elders not with youngsters.
They have immense thirst and means to gather information about films, actors and entertainment general. So most of the time is spent in these trivial pursuit. That is why film industry and people associated with it are so well off and Universities have withered. I
it only indicates the lack of skills on part of the graduates, but evades from the aspect of lack of companies that do original work or development work. yes by my own experience i can say that most of the learning happens on the job, but most of the work in India does not require very high skills or does it have a long term career prospects.things can change only if we have companies other than the ones that do body-shopping , importing obsolete technology - doing sustenance on the same. The education system needs to be revamped - it should cultivate a culture exploration and self learning - kind of independence to seek and master knowledge.
