by Balan Iyer on Jul 11, 2012 04:21 PM  | Hide replies

The Gopalapuram Area in Chennai is the high funda TamBrahm area, wherein resides the former CM of Tamil Nadu.Though outwardly atheist, he must be the happiest man in this world, thanks to the new and renovated Temple near his place of residence.

Big donations might have come from his family with prayers to get Kanimozhi unscathed from 2G scam.

what is so great about TamBrahm? I bet most of the donations would have come from non-brahm. Please stop being discriminative in the interest of Hinduism

Gopalaswamy;sGolden Temple in Chennai

D. goel pkl. afternoon 4.20pm Wednesday, july 11, 2012.
Thishigh ferlvour towardsGopalaswamy in Chennai demonstrates thatSouthern indian mind set isvery deeply embeddedin the Vaishnv culture of Radha-Krishnacults. Peopledes[pite otherwise highly analytical and criticakl in their understanding ofcivilization seem to support thegreattraditrions ofAlwar /Saints andBhakti of Radha and Krishna even now , whenskepticism seems to make a buifeenroad in our north indian Vaishnavism at Mathura or Brindavan. by kumar kn on Jul 11, 2012 03:44 PM  | Hide replies

it is his ishta devatha..The reason he chose to have his house near the temple was because of this. But he acts outside as if he is an atheist.

Frankly, how does the personal belief of Karunanidhi affect us? So Jayalalithaa is more pious and outwardly hindutva- how does it matter? Yes, if MuKa swindles temple gold then we have a problem

A concern

How these brokers(priests) have discretion n spending the money?

1. Make it golden to attract more people hence offering.
2. Make cinema hall like timing to suit them. God doesnt need break.
3. Like balcony , box , first class you have different pass for darisanam.

These priest only consider people who offer more money. They consider money more than God or devotee.

IF GOD HAPPEN TO COME DOWN TO EARTH THESE prie$ts DOESN'T HESITATE TO ASK THE GOD MONTHLY RENT TO STAY IN TEMPLE.

This is a temple & not church or mosque to plunder all donations. Every rupee of donation is taken away by HR&CE dept. If you donno something better keep quiet instead of revealing your illiteracy here.
