Not sure why you have mention it here. But still, groupism can be said of every linguistic group in India. In my experience Tamil mingle with others freely than they mingle among themselves.

Tamilians are doing their bit to uphold traditional values, hinduism, music, dance, language literature etc. And you guys call them conservative! Moreover you and your favorite media call them backward for wearing veshtis and saris, which you equate modernism with torn jeans and bleaching skin white.
Naturally there will be a mismatch in values. The very fact that you made it a point to bring this obscure topic here, shows the intolerance that an average Tamilian faces (not from everyone, but certainly from morons like you)

Any article about TN or Tamilians, and your mouth must be watering at the prospect of TamilBashing, isnt it?
Dude, I suggest a simple experiment. Put 3 Tamilians and one non Tamilian in a room. Your observation would be vindicated.
But hold on, dont get too excited.
Now put 3 Marathas and one non Maratha, or put 3 Mallus and one non Mallu, or 3 Punjabis and one non Punjabi, result will be the same!!
Your statement is similar to asking why North East do not consider themselves to be a part of India, well rest of India does not consider NE to be part of itself, so why should they bother?
While it is not so bad with TN, that feeling exists to some extent nonetheless amongst people in the North, so it takes two hands to clap!!

Dear writer, TN had got much better Golden Temple at Vellore. It is much bigger in size and the whole temple is covered of Gold, not only the tower. I think you need to improve your GK. Pl. visit the site www.sripuram.org

Yes, there is a Sripuram Amman temple on Bengaluru highway in Vellore, TN. Nice to see hinduism flourish. In an age where commercialism is spawned by ISCONS, and many babas, it is great that traditional temples are attracting patronage.
And for the pseudocommunists who are so worried about the poor, go stop the malls and fake western ways in which our youth splurge money. Go stop Formula1, bowling alleys, rave-parties, then attack spirituality.

While i agree with most of your post, I think your snide comments about ISKCON and babas is totally uncalled for.

You would probably have called Tulsidas, Gnyaneshwar, Tukaram, Ramanujacharya, etc as spurious babas, had you lived then. These are the people who in every generation keep hinduism connected with the eternal truths of the upanishads and not traditional temple worship. Bereft of the spiritual connection provided by these gurus, hinduism would have died just like most ritualistic religions of the world did.

Why are you spreading hatred out of personal motivation, in this topic which is related to a divine place? Shows who is mingling with whom?
