Its not that great. Its popular only in andhra and too some extend in south india. No one in north india likes it that much. On the contrary, I havn't met anyone who doesn't like a nice crispy dosa.

That is not fair. I am commenting from New York - Hyd biriyani and haleem are two very good dishes in my opinion, you dont have to be from South India to enjoy them. Obviously, a good masala dosa is also a great dish. This list, by no means is exhaustive and also not really top-10. There are a ton of french and italian dishes that deserve a look as well. Huff Po took a cut, and I dont think the guy who wrote this even knew what a lal mans is, as some one else pointed out.

Nothing insulting here. If you are not eating some meats and shellfish based on religious preferences, you do miss out on some tastes. You get something else (good karma?) may be. What is the big deal. As a hindu that loves beef, I see it as a choice.
