Kudos to the medical team

I think our health care system has a lot to learn from the US, instead of just browbeating about medical tourism and harping on the fact that foreigners are coming to India for treatment. The fact of the matter is that emergency medical services in US are light years ahed of India. Also they place a value on each and every life. Having worked in burns unit in some of the so called large public hospitals in Mumbai, I can surely tell you that this guy wouldnt have survied for more than a week here.
Kudos to the medical and surgical teams...!
Also the US govt and the health system should be lauded for taking care of the expenses for this guy who is essentially a foreigner, for all these years. india surely the parents would be on the road by now paying bills. We unfortunately live in a country where you live or die, depends on whether you can pay or not.

The same situation is in US. There are a lot of old people who have no access to any medicine.

indian health care system is much better, doctors are avialble right away may be some que sometime, go to usa, first thing is you must take an appointment, it might happen the same day or in the next 8 days, the worst part is after u go there they will give you a big form to fill up takes like 30 minuts, i wont even have the strenght to put a cycle stand at that time and thy want me to fill up the form

For such situations you have urgent care for immediate appointments, and ER for emergency situations. If you are that sick that you can't hold a pen and fill a form, you need to call paramedics. That form is very useful for the doctors coz it tells them about your family history. And no it doesn't take 30 minutes to fill the form. Please stop bashing a system for no reason. And if you have read the story you would know that its the same system that you are complaining about that performed this miracle and saved his life. I am sure they din't ask him to fill up a form when he would have been brought to ER for treatment. Please try to educate yourself before you give your opinion on something.

Manoj is a terrific guy. He has been thru so much and has shown us what a positive attitude and a fighting spirit can do.

For the last 1 week I've been having chronic body pain an i was cursing and cribbing for most part - having read this article, I feel ashamed for crying about my silly problems.

The human life is a gift and most of us spent it focusing on our short comings and negatives instead of our gifts and talents.

This story is truly inspirational. Thanks to PagalGuy and to Manoj for sharing this with us.
