The mere fact that only 2 pages of comments are given, shows that no one is interested in joining the Armed Forces?

JOIN THE ARMED FORCES. DO YOU HAVE IT IN YOU?

1. Aricle is very poorly presented. It must be titled as Join NDA or So.

2. Details are available on website. Boys and girls are requested to search it online. Just type how to join Army/Navy/Indian Airforce. And if you cant do it then forget about it.
3. There are many streams to join as an officer. However if anyone want to join as men. See the ads from ZROs and BROs of respective forces.
4. As far as Army Chief going to court is as per the law. Chief exercised his option. Politician and Some Judges ganged up decided. Bad luck. You cant expect much in such a corrupt atmosphere.
5. We stretch things very far by saying obey first. You only obey lawful commands and not unlawful commands. Individual has their rights. You have only been restricted not to form associations not approved by authourities.
6. Can not paricipate in active politics. However entitled to vote for any party.
7. Fundamental right of free speech is modified so that you dont make political speeches or talk againt foreign policy of the state publicly.
8. Rest you enjoy the same rights. It is less stressful than the corporate sector job.
9. One can join through NDA, Technical Entry Scheme (TES), CDSE, Technical Graduates Entry, University Entry Scheme(UES), OTA(Officers Training Academy) as SSC or WSES(O), Naval Academy.
9. Don't you think that all those who join defence forces are very brave. Quite a few are cowards too. If you are a coward and and want to join defence force, I am sure you

are the right material to become a general. Very few people who are honest and brave make it to the chief like Gen VK Singh.
10. Most of the guys are flatened by the media itself. You dont need a bullet for them. They believ what is written or spoken in media is a gospels truth.
It is not so.
11. Gen VK Singh has got his date of Birth corrected but was reintrodued by vested interets in 2006.

OBEY FIRST CULTURE
by Ashok Kumar on Feb 15, 2012 07:10 PM  | Hide replies

The 'obey first culture' of the armed forces can be slightly stifling but for those who brave the odds, the uniformed life still remains an attractive option. this seems a farce after how the Chief has behaved. Did he follow what you have written. Will juniors obey or go to court over every issue? Will political parties indirectly instigate litigation? Will successors also go to court?
