Lets face it. First thing in infrastructure. no body wants to take vacation and go to place where he cant inhale clean air. traffic noise and overcrowding is going to make his sick. wd u go to pakistan? same reason. westerners have really hard time in india. only reason they come is india has been begiing of spirituality so they respect it and come inspite of so much hardship. All we have to do is focus on widening road, work together in make traffic better. people more civilised and disciplined. and living will be better for us and it will atract more tourist. after all toyrists wants to relax, feel comfort and safe more important than just looking at monuments.

you are more concenred about what westerners would suffer than with what indian citizens suffer everyday. No wonder just 3000 Britishers were able to rule the land of 30 crores for 300 years.
Many people want to know where is India ? With regionalism Maharastra for Marathi Manush,Tamil for 'No-Hindi',Karnataka where Assamese have been threatened by Moslemes,Assam which is [due to distrust of congress on native-voters,is allowed to be infiltrated] designed to become Banglasesh's colony,Arunachal is half-harted,Manipur is left on sweet mercy,Mizoram,Nagaland,Bodo,Khasi-Jayantiya,Gorkhas all have psychological thurst to call whom as own.70% popupation below poverty line,no policy for CHARACTER-MAKING,all permitted to loot at whatever venue are they in,evi-minded irking unity to seperate Kashmir, throwing , otherwise too,the country on brink of an-other PARTITION, till another on other pretexts,so-long it collapse with most hopeless policies of negativity by this regime,India does not sound International Trust especially for which it was recognised,as no-body bothered for it's SPIRITUALITY in which it stood as world-champion!Alas! All tribals & natives having been deprived of traditional spiritual ferver by hook or crook, political bul-dozing commission eating cult of 'parliament-pundits'exploiting resources to be sucked & sold to those who have no emotions for this land, depositing black-money to swiss-bank,Natives abiding family planning while Muslims producing children & enjoying on shoulders of Hindoos with huge give-away policies-causing fear asif congress is doing Marketing for promoting Muslimism in this country. WHO WILL WANT TO VISIT SUCH COUNTRY

There is a way by which you can post photos. Upload your photos to any cloud, say Picasa and share the link in your post.
nice article...still not a real seller of India. May be as somebosy put it - 'you cant describe India in a page or a chapter, you need 1000 chapters'...but then you cant expect somebody to read that much to take a vacation ??
What about wild life of India? Be it Sunderban in Bengal or ranthambhor in rajasthan or kajiranga in Assam or Jim korbet's famous kumayoon? No country can match such variety.
Your mention of the places and events in this articles are not the top ones and at best seems like your travel and horizon is restricted to Northern India. One incorrect point you make is about Hindi. It is not our national language and at best one among the other 13 official languages

you are correct East Indian. For Indians South does not exist.TN receives most no. of foreigners as tourists.maxium Foreigners arriving in india for different reasons may be in Bombay.
In my experiences with my colleagues from Europe and the US. Although many say they want to visit India sometime. But very close friends admit that they are scared of the filth, security and casualness of our country. To me, personally, that is a shame and have never have been able to reassure that despite all these, India is still a great country. I for example, don't know why we charge foreigners such huge sums of money as entry fee while a native pays only a fraction of it. Athithidevobhava is only in the tourism brochure
