Rajat Misra is correct. The root cause is overpopulation. But most Indian experts do not agree saying that a large population is necessary for economic growth. While they laud the Chinese growth model the ignore the fact that the Chinese efforts to successfully stabilise their population is a major factor which has helped their economic development. Most problems which are being touted in India find teir roots in overpopulation. Worse, there is no political concensus on this issue. After the population control fiasco during emergency the Congress has developed cold feet and so have other parties. This does not allow Strong legeslative measures to be implemented on long term basis as in China.

no - corruption is main responsible.pls read the report that if our system improves by 60% everybody's requirement can be filled.corruption is like cancer to the society.just think if all the black money is brought back to india? population can be boon we need to learn from china how to use the manpower for development.
The route cause for all our problems is the large population. First we need to control our population until unless we desire to capture the whole world by shear numbers. Illiteracy is the second cause for our poor state of affairs. If a person cant read or write then they have no choice but to believe what they are told or shown. Government should stop launching welfare schemes as they are the base for corruption and cancel all welfare measures. all subsidies should be stopped. Stop all kind of reservation and treat everyone as equal. Give equal footing to all citizens without bias of male, female, caste , creed, culture and religion. Each political party need to do community service and show what have been there achievements in improving quality of life of the citizens. Finally make everyone accountable for the job they do.
EVERY INDIAN SHOULD FOLLOW MORAL PRINCIPLES EVERY INDIAN SHOULD BE GENEROUS IN GIVING AWAY HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO POOR EVERY INDIAN SHOULD BE SPRITIUAL THEN ONLY INDIA BECOMES SUPERPOWER
Corruption is today in our DNA and trying to get rid of it is just a pipe dream. It starts the day you are born.. How many of you have two date of births? The real one and the one officially created to send you early to school. We are taught to break the queue the day we are born.. so should not complain when people use all corrupt means to hoard wealth for the next 10 generations.

No doubt every one is corrupt whether giving and raking bribe.. We are all selfish and calculated with regard money.
1. Breakingtraffic, no one knows what is challan value for not wearing helmet. Loacl RTO has to provide the targeted amount to Govt at end of the month.
We indians are well adjusted with corruption, we are not in possition to pay the challan amount.

Even if we manage to have a day where a property can be registered in our country without paying a bribe, it will be a great start. Instead of Lok Ayukta officials raiding one registrar office to just show the public, let them monitor one registrar office for a month and ensure all registrations to happen without brokers, it will be a great start. Santosh Hegde, are you listening? We have to choke these channels regularly.. Raids are just eye washes.

If we keep one registrar office corruption free for a month there will be two outcomes. Genuine people will get their properties registered during that time. The corrupt ones will postpone their registration till the campaign is over. But it will be worth doing an experiment with truth like this one.. Any takers??

This experiment could be conducted by anyone.. It could be a civil group, social activists, or even a organisation like RSS who have a strong influence over the Indian society.. Just target the highest revenue generating registrar office of each state.

In case of vote bank politics, a politician will always act and say only what is likable to their vote banks and else every thing is bad for him. This is taking the coutry in back gear but who is to bother.
