A well done course at any good British or US institute usually endows one with an array of strengths. Good diction and writing skills in the English language are often very prominent among those strengths for a great majority of those who distinguish themselves in western universities. This is particularly true for courses such as the MBA.

Going by this yardstick, you do not appear to have done your course well enough !!

Indian School of Business( ISB), Hederabad at No.8 - Laughing
by sushanta mishra on Sep 20, 2011 06:03 PM  | Hide replies

Indian School of Business (ISB), Hederabad which is one of the best business school in the World is undoubtedly No.1 business school of India. ISB is recognised world over. Its admission process, teaching methodology, global exposure, diversity in student,GMAT screening, facility & outstanding placement is un-matched.

IIMs are far behind this.Yes, brandwise IIM may be ahead, but so far as quality& placement is concerened, ISB is No.1.

IIMs student get placement only for brand name.Otherwise it is far behind ISB.

Indian should proud that, we have global business school like ISB.In a very short span it has been able to rank among Worlds best business school.

The fact that you have time to repeatedly post the same message in an irrelevant way, does throw questions on your 'right choice'. And management is not about 'debate'-that is why the top colleges in India and abroad have abolished group discussions.

Fees at IIMs
by Kab Kahn on Sep 20, 2011 02:33 PM  | Hide replies

There is one common test (CAT) for MBA program across India. Due to various facilities and the qualities of facilities a fees difference of 10-15 % is understandable. But something like fees of 4.05 L for two years all inclusive at IIML while 10 L per annum at IIM Kozikode is questionable. Is the reporting by rediff correct? Does anybody have answer?

Of course it is wrong. The fee at IIM Lucknow currently is close to 14 lpa for two years. This is crazy limb-sucking reporting.

If you don't like reservations/affirmative action in govt/private sector, take your marks, merit, talent and caste/community share of land from India and build your own nation.

how honest the ratings are?
by vivekanandan N on Sep 20, 2011 02:13 PM  | Hide replies

IIMs & IITs never participated in such surveys/polls. Its a defined mandate for institutes under MHRD not to participate in survey/ ranking polls..without any primary data, wondering how such reports are published!!!

You are right.

I don't think these results have a proper base. They may be based on placements only, as denoted in IIM-C page.
