Drinking juice daily added 0.31 pound of extra body weight every four years...
what is this? In FOUR years? Is that a weight gain?
Most of the facts are improperly interpreted.

Deficiency!
by Mick Patel on Sep 04, 2011 08:07 PM

This nut doctor has been avoiding all the food described here...that probably explains deficiencies in his brain to write anything coherent. Watermelon, tomatoes, greens, green tea, 100% juices, lean meat like fish & chicken are some of the best things you can give your body. And, Mr. Electric Sodha, you totally forgot the foods that ACTUALLY make you FAT, like rice, potatoes, mehnda flour, cheese, gluten..just to name a few!
Btw, what the hell kind of logic went behind theory of .31 lb weight gain after 4 years of juice consumption. Are you freaking serious?

totally incorrect statements--need a reality check~
by Poornima on Sep 04, 2011 07:41 PM

I am resisting writing a short repartee to your article. But, have to agree-it is absolutely bogus! I am a qualified dietitian and a nutritionist and it scares me to see such sweeping generalizations being made. Watermelons, green tea and tomatoes absolutely do not qualify to be on this list!
Tomatoes, mangoes, bananas, potatoes and other naturally occuring high sodium fruits and vegetables can be a cause of concern for people with kidney diseases-not normal people. Also, artificial sweeteners do not release insulin--they are not metabolized in the first place-hence, not absorbed, hence, elicit no insulin response...hence, no hunger pang issues. Also, the high fat, high sugar foods- do increase an insulin response-which is anabolic and hence, can lead to obesity.
REQUEST REDIFF TO CHECK AUTHENCITY OF THE WRITERS AND CONTENT BEFORE IT IS POSTED-A LOT OF PEOPLE WILL BELIEVE IT.
