I have covered states of Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat by road. Rediff had published many of my travel photos from these states. Good roads and good planning with the help of GPS is the secret of a pleasurable trip.

Haldwani to Mukteshwar via Dhanachuli Bend
by Karan Sharma on Oct 21, 2014 07:33 PM

This is scenic drive of about 2 hours with little traffic on the road. It is especially nice during the winters when it has snowed or is snowing. Mukteshwar is a quaint little town at height of about 7000 ft. from sea level. It is just about 330 kms from Delhi and if you start early in the morning, you can be there in 6.30-7 hours max. There is no other hill station so near to Delhi which has snowfall.

Road trip like this make you breath little bit, relax. otherwise we our town, village every where its so crowding, we live like coakroach. one over other. even in village no body give land to build wider road, park, garden, library etc. every body is so selfish just want to grab all the land.
Govt should forcibly take away land in each village and town and create space for wider road, garden, sports field etc. otherwise we will keep living suffocating life like animals.

I look at your pictures and one picture of a route from Colombo to Galle and I see why our island is called paradise. You guys haven't seen beauty yet. It also helps that Sinhalese are cleaner than Indians.

Though cleaner but sinhalese are way uglier than Indians... ha ha ha.. and you would be definately amongst them who want to come to India for studies as you dont have anything in your country.... Read some books and pass your subjects rather than failing in all subjects in your curriculum... Failures...

The difference my dear fellow is in the variety. Your country is like a single good dish. It is the same everywhere, and there is only a single theme. But, India is like a full 100 course dinner or a buffet. There are so many different types of landscapes and beauties ... Do you have snow capped mountains? or endless deserts, or royal forts in these deserts? or portugese hospitality? nope .... srilanka compares nowhere to the beauty of india.
